                "I'm thinking of a sweet."

The blonde looked up, startled. The break in the silence was unexpected, as the thoughts and emotions of everyone in the room had previously been reduced to a quiet hum in the back of his mind. Now that his partner had broken that calm, however, the boy was irritated.

"Does that 'sweet' have anything to do with paperwork? If so, feel free to keep thinking about it." The youth turned back to his own work, scowling slightly. Across from him, his partner grinned.

"Mm...actually, yeah, a little. C'mon, Hisoka, guess what I'm thinking about!"

Hisoka flicked his gaze up to meet Tsuzuki's, annoyance with an underlying curiosity apparent in it. Tsuzuki grinned more widely, tapping his pen against the desk in a soft rhythm that served to aggravate the green-eyed boy even more.

"I don't have time for this," Hisoka replied, the ever-present glare plastered onto his face. "And neither do you. Get back to work."

Tsuzuki shrugged, as if to say 'suit yourself', and Hisoka took that as a sign to turn back to the paperwork in front of him. It was silent for a few moments, before Tsuzuki spoke up again.

"...It's sweeter than cake, and chocolate, and ice cream!"

Hisoka was about a second away from slapping his idiot partner, and would have had he been in a close enough range to do so. These games weren't uncommon, but they had work to do, and work meant no fooling around. Letting out an exasperated sigh, Hisoka propped his elbow up on the desk and rested his chin on his hand. Tsuzuki mirrored his actions, chocolate-brown bangs falling adorably into violet eyes as he did so.

The best thing to do was to play along. Get it over with, and Tsuzuki wouldn't have any more reason to distract either of them from paperwork.

                "Apple pie?"

Tsuzuki clicked his tongue to the roof of his mouth in a 'tsk tsk' sound, wagging a finger in front of Hisoka's face. "Uh uh uh. Guess again."

                Hisoka glared.

                "Cinnabons."

"Nope!" Tsuzuki replied gleefully, leaning forward across the desk so his face was merely inches from Hisoka's. "Want me to tell you? It's a secret, though."

The glare deepened, followed by another exasperated sigh. "It's not like I have any other choice."

Smiling, Tsuzuki leaned in closer, which in turn caused Hisoka's normally pale skin to flush slightly. Damn that blush reflex. "Well..." A brunette head dipped a little to place a soft, brief kiss on the other's lips. Hisoka nearly jumped. They were still in the office, what was he thinking--

Tsuzuki pulled back fully, sinking down comfortably into his chair and nodding in satisfaction at his blushing, wide-eyed partner. Another grin, and a chuckle. "It's you!"

The complexion of the blonde now closely resembled that of a tomato.

                "...Idiot!"
