My dear Garnet back then it was so chaotic

I chased you and bitten off more than I can chew

Your beautiful face was hidden behind that White Mage's hood

And at first I thought you'd be another jewel that would slip out of my hands.

Dagger my sweet Dagger we traveled the world together in fun and sorrow

Battled through the Mist and overcame evil while I watched your grace astound

I thought I was a womanizer but after you no other could enter my heart

For your smile and fragility ripped my inner turmoil apart.

I watched as you cried for mother and was forced to lead your land

You a gave a sign of your maturity as you trimmed your hair in that Garden

I wanted to cry because your strength was much greater than mine could ever be

I wanted to take you into my arms like the many times that occurred throughout our journey.

Dagger, Princess Dagger I felt I wasn't enough for you

I was but a simple, poor young man who knew nothing of his past

My mind told me I was crazy but my heart urged me to taste your sweet kiss

You helped me overcome the war within my soul and gave me reassurance of our bliss.

We helped saved the lives of those who loved Gaia so much

I stayed behind to help my brother who needed my love and care

I promised I would come back to you and hold once more your lovely frame

And that year was too long for I could not wait to reunite with My Sweet Dagger!
