Dragon Orb
A Crossover of Valkyrie Profile into Dominaria
Author's Note: The events in this story take place before the Onslaught block novels. As far as this story is concerned, those events never happened (and never will.) Now, on to the story!
Prologue
Valkyrie, the Battle Maiden and official Auditor for the Asgard Artifacts Committee, paced restlessly along the corridors of Odin's palace in Asgard. After exposing the whole "Dragon Orb" scandal that had nearly resulted in the end of the world, it was now Valkyrie's job to police the Four Treasures and make sure that there were no more misuses.
It wasn't an easy job by any means: So far the legendary Sylvan Bow had been stolen a total of 473 times (No one cares about the stupid elves), the Demon Sword "Levantine" had been stolen 13 times, and the spear Gungnir had been stolen twice, all in the course of a mere century or so. In each of these cases, it had been Valkyrie's personal responsibility to track down the missing treasures and take them back by force from the thief. But the most powerful artifact of all, the artifact that would spell the Apocalypse (or possibly Ragnarok, Armageddon, or Doomsday) if it ever were ever removed from Midgard, had never been stolen. The Dragon Orb, which Loki had used to devastating effect in the first Ragnarok, had remained safe inside the Water Mirror. Until today.
"The time has come for me to live again. But this time none shall stop me. Dominaria will fall, all thanks to this little orb that I liberated from Midgard. I don't even need to enter Dominaria myself this time. All I need to do is loose this orb upon the world, and watch the corruption spread."
