Commodore John A. Norrington.

Lieutenant Percival R. Gillette.

No one ever cared much for John, and as a child he was always the quiet boy sitting in a corner with a book, hardly ever getting into trouble or making a noise. Always overlooked, always the third wheel to any party, even in the Royal Navy. The only way he ever distinguished himself was by his career, with his completely clean record, and utter dedication to study, he had been named Captain at twenty; Commodore at thirty.

Percival Gillette was just the opposite- a wild and untamed boy, he grew up into a wild and untamed man. Lord knows the amount of trouble he created in his seventeen years before being sent to the Navy when he turned eighteen. There, he was finally tamed by the man described in the paragraph above. Two opposites, who came to become one whole. This is the story of Percy and Johnny.
