Stories of the North Another poem. This one is about the stories Christine's father told her and Raoul.

Fire tipped phoenixes,

Dark swords of lead

Angels of Music

Singing in her head

Bittersweet triumphs

Miserable losses

Little beautiful Lotte

Saved from the monsters

Little Lotte's scarf

Un drown and safe

Lotte's favorite hat

In the pocket of his cape

This super hero saved her

From having a great sorrow

This young boy of fourteen

Giving the yarn a morrow

Dragons couldn't harm him

Dust is repelled

Lotte will love him

When she's grown and well

He will give her happiness

Until her Angel is sent

Then she will learn to sing

And with music she shall vent

Although he once saved her

Raoul will be alone

For the Angel will appraise her

And her love he will then own

And so as he sits with her

Satiated with pleasure

Christine will clutch the scarf nearby

And will remember and dearly treasure.
