"So you're the boy who nearly destroyed Rupert," Quentin said calmly. Across from him, Ethan Rayne melted into the shadows.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Ethan said.
Quentin tossed a thick folder onto the table. "We know, Mr. Rayne. We've been watching."
Ethan smirked. "Well, obviously."
Quentin leaned over the table, his hands splayed flat on the surface. His eyes inches away from Ethan's, he said, angrily, "Don't be smart with me. You are in a very serious situation. This is not a game."
"Whoever said it was?" Ethan purred, and grinned so wide his teeth shone.
