When Harry woke up the next morning, it was dark inside his locked cupboard he presumed that it was still early morning and lay down for what he hoped would be a few more hours of sleep but was woken up moments later, leaving him to yelp slightly in surprise. That was a big mistake. His aunt who had rapped on the door was so surprised at Harry's sudden outburst that she staged backwards away from the cupboard and into Dudley who started to fake cry. Uncle Vernon who heard all of the noise, came waddling downstairs and gave a growl that could have been mistaken for a lion with a seriously bad headache.

'Boy!' he yelled. 'What on earth do you think you are doing?' He stormed past his wife and child and roughly unlocked the door. He pulled it open so viciously that it hit the stairs and made a dent in the wall. He shoved his hand inside and pulled out a tiny boy by his arm. He lifted him right off the ground and dropped him to the floor. Uncle Vernon gave the terrified boy a half an hour yell punctuating his sentence with a kick to the Harry's head, making him see stars. Harry gingerly got up just to be pushed back down again by Dudley who had stopped fake crying and was laughing his head off. Dudley followed his father into the kitchen and left Harry to get dressed while Aunt Petunia started cooking the bacon. Five minutes later Harry stumbled into the kitchen earning himself a disapproving glare from his Aunt. He got to work on the eggs in silence, not knowing that this Uncle was bitterly complaining about his hair in the background.

After Harry's non-existing breakfast, he and Dudley were taken to school where Harry sat down in the corner of the playground with his imaginary friend, trying to avoid the piggy eyes of his cousin who would soon be over, with his gang, to make Harry's morning even worse than it was already. Some of the older students always pitied Harry but even they knew better than too do anything. Not that the 5-year-old gang could do much to them physically, but they could lie and complain to the teacher, and they would get severely told off for being mean to the younger children in the school. Dudley soon found Harry though and with glee pointed him out to his gang they all looked over and guffawed loudly. They got into a huddle and whispered softly then they formed a line put on their evil grins and headed for Harry. He watched them coming for him his beautiful tear filled emerald eyes getting bigger and rounder with every step the gang took.
