Every Little Thing You Do

Who's there? Where am I? Oh my god, it's so dark. What's happening to me? The car....the blood....the people. They're dead. They're gone, they're not coming back. What happened to them?
He was hallucinating again, but it had actually happened. The car...it had lost control and smashed into a pole by the side of the road. Everyone had been killed, except the front-seat passenger, who was in a critical condition. The bandage was digging into the side of his head, and he could feel the bloody gauze wetting his forehead. He still couldn't move his body, but he knew that he didn't have long left. He could feel his life draining away, his blood seeping out and making him weaker....
In the news today, a driver and three passengers were killed in an accident today, and another passenger is in a critical condition after a drunk driver lost control of the car and swerved into a pole just north of Odaiba at around 3am this morning. More news will be available soon. Yamato turned the television off. He banged his hand against the wall, and started to sob. You idiot Taichi, why the hell did you get in the damn car?
"Taichi, can you hear me? Taichi.." he whispered. He wasn't sure if his voice was loud enough, but he knew that Taichi understood what he was saying. "I'm so sorry that I wasn't there to protect you. I should have taken care of you, I should have been there, god damnit. If I knew this would have happened, I wouldn't have let you go out and get drunk. It's my fault!"
The bleeding head turned slightly, the soft voice creaking out silently, "No, it isn't your fault. I should've listened to you when you told me not to go. I should've taken your warning seriously, but now it's too late for me to start listening. It's too late, and I'm sorry for not telling you sooner.."
"Telling me what?" came the response, Yamato cocking his eyebrow.
"Telling you this.." Taichi said, as he struggled to lift his body up, placing a soft kiss on Yamato's lips. Yamato rubbed his hands on Taichi's chest, playing with the warm flesh, groaning as they became more deeply involved than ever before. He was seriously enjoying this. He stopped for a minute so he could breathe, and almost instantaneously continued his business. Their lips brushed one last time as they broke apart, staring sneakily at each other.
And so, Taichi survived the incident of course, thanks to the power of medical science. He is still in the process of dating Yamato, and they have been in a relationship for over a year now. They have rarely, if ever, been apart. Probably except for the time that Taichi went back to the Digital World to save Agumon.
It's truly amazing what love can do. It not only binds people through deep trust, but it inspires us to move on, both physically and mentally. Even through hard times, love can make us happy. And that's greater than life itself.
Takeru stopped writing, and placed the pen down. He turned away from his manuscript, and gawked at Hikari, nudging his head towards their bedroom.
