Innocent Man
I am Sirius Black,
I am believed to be a maniac.
They believe me to be a killer,
Now I cause all kinds of stir.
I am innocent,
Both in the past and present.
I didn't betray James and Lily,
And certainly didn't go on a killing spree.
I never was a Death Eater,
I wish the memory was a blur.
The Potters were like family,
Rarely did we disagree.
Harry is my godson,
But all this pain can't be undone.
Peter betrayed us all
Eventually that lead to Voldemort's downfall.
He was supposed to be our friend,
Until the very end.
Because of him the Potter's are dead,
And panic is no longer widespread.
I am now in Azkaban,
But am slowly creating an escape plan.
Soon I will escape,
Out of this scrape.
I will seek my revenge of Wormtail,
And I will not fail.
I will be clear,
And be near those I hold so dear.
