I do not own FF6 nor any character thereof. If I did, I wouldn't be writing lame fanfics. Anyways this happens about a year or so after Kefka has been defeated. Don't bash me if you don't like it, I just got inspired after reading a few other stories, and going back and playing FF4, and beating it in 24 hours. ________________________________________________________________________

Terra opened her eyes gently, taking in the view of the small room. It was near dawn, so the room was bathed in an eerie blue glow. She turned her head gently, looking into the face of the sleeping man, the one whose arms were around her.

"And to think," she thought to herself, "A few months ago I had no idea what love was."
She remembered back to when he explained it to her.

"Love can't be explained." He told her, "You just feel it. Longing, caring, a sense of right.it's all a mix of emotions. It is different for everyone."

She smiled gently. It was the next week he told her that he was in love with her.

"It was about time, too." She told her self, "Ever since we first met he always remained close to me. Only when trying to find Phoenix for Rachel did he stay away for an extended period. But he has shown me so much, including." she shivered slightly, a chill running down her spine.

She caught him once, while the group was still together, treating his hands with a substance from a bottle. He explained it in this way.
"My hands are my tools, just as a smith's tool is his hammer. I have to take care of them, so every morning I apply a mixture of soft and herbs, keeping calluses away. Callused hands may drop an acquired item."
"Why do you wear gloves then?" she asked.
"There is a side effect to the solution. The soft." he held out his hand, ungloved, and she took it. The skin was so soft and smooth, she thought it might not have been real.

He still treated his hands every morning, which she was thankful for. Just thinking of those soft, gentle hands running over her body was enough to make her melt deeper into his arms.
She remembered their first time.

"Please, Locke," she told him, "Be gentle."
He smiled to her, "I am always gentle with my treasures."
And he was right. He had caused her only minor pain when he took her, but the rest was a mixture of bliss and love. Feelings that she never knew washed over her and, for the first time in her life, she felt true love.
What made it even better was the fact that the next morning, he was still there holding her.

For the next month, every night, they were together. Some nights they would merely cuddle, and spend time with each other, other nights they would go at it. She loved every minute of it.

And then there was the night before this morning. She pulled her hand toward her face, careful not to wake him, and looked at the ring he had given her. He promised her he didn't steal it, he actually raised the money and bought it for her. She knew it was true too. She had secretly watched him as he snuck to the relic store and bought it.
It had been him that was the nervous one. She knew the question was coming and knew her answer, but he apparently thought it could go either way.
How relieved he was when she said yes.
"I don't think," she thought to herself, "He could have been any happier in his life."

He stirred gently, his eyes opening and meeting hers.
"Hello beautiful." He said to her, "Couldn't sleep?"
"Just thinking." She said, giving him a gentle kiss. He smiled, running a hand down her back gently. She melted under his touch, her eyelids fluttering closed as she let herself fade into a light slumber.
Locke smiled, whispering a gentle, "I love you," into her ear. He pulled the covers up a bit more around them, then closed his eyes, letting himself fall asleep.
