I thought of this short fic when I watched the news about the black out in America and Canada.  For all those who lived there and suffered during the black out last weekend, I'm sorry you suffered.  Hope everything is okay now.

Black Out
by F4 girl

It's just another day in the JuChoOh; everyone is working on their cases when all of a sudden, the power is cut and the whole place goes dark. "Someone is attacking us!"  Tatsumi shouts.

Tsuzuki runs outside and sees a wolf demon covers with lightening charges toward him.  Tsuzuki calls up his Suzuku, which charges toward the wolf demon and attacks it.  The demon hollers and tries to fight with Suzuku; but Suzuku defeats the demon in less than 3 moves.

"Good job, Tsuzuki."  Tatsumi says.  Tsuzuki smiles, "thanks!"

Tatsumi looks around and sees that all the power lines are torn up by the demon.  Watari mutters, "what a big mess."

"The demon wolf drained our power line to use as his own energy.  Dont worry, the technicians will repair the power lines...we should have our power back in a couple of hours."  Tatsumi says.

"But then all the ice-cream and apple pie in the cooler will be melted!  Let's eat them all now!"  Tsuzuki says eagerly.

"Do you always think about sweet?"  Tatsumi asks.

"That's not a bad idea.  I feel like some apple pie and ice cream too.  Besides, we don't have anything to do right now.  All the computers are down and there is no light.  We can't work on our cases."  Watari says.

Tatsumi nods, "I do want to have some Apple pie and ice-cream.  No point of letting it melts while we sit in the dark.  Right?"

Everyone sits around the table and eats sweet happily when Tsuzuki sees Hisoka sitting by himself in the corner.  Tsuzuki smiles and shouts, "Hisoka!  Your ice-cream is gonna melt!"

"Why don't you eat it?  I don't feel like eating."  Hisoka says without looking at Tsuzuki.

Tsuzuki can tell the darkness is bothering Hisoka.  His young partner is hiding his feelings from other people but Tsuzuki notices how Hisoka seems to curl up into a ball, like a frightened child.  When Hisoka was young, his parents often locked him up in a dark cold basement.  Hisoka hates the dark.

Tsuzuki walks up to Hisoka and asks, "can I sit next to you?"

Deep inside, Hisoka wants Tsuzuki to be by his side.  The darkness and coldness are really bothering him.  But still, Hisoka doesn't want to feel fragile. He fights off the urge to let Tsuzuki sits down and says coldly, "I don't need you to sit next to me."

Tsuzuki stands there, in silence, and watches Hisoka's face for a long time.   Then, Tsuzuki fleshes his charming smile and says, "I know you don't need me to sit next to you...but I need to sit next to you.  I don't like to be in the dark."

Hisoka opens his mouth to protest but Tsuzuki already sits down next to him.  Tsuzuki gives Hisoka a cup of tea. Hisoka takes a sip and says, "thanks."

Tsuzuki sees that Hisoka is still uncomfortable.  He smiles and asks Hisoka, "Can I put my arms around you?  I want to hold you because, you know, I'm don't like the dark."

Hisoka looks at him and mutters, "if you want to."

Tsuzuki holds Hisoka in his arms and asks, "Will you lean closer to me?  So I can get warmer?"

Hisoka lays his head on Tsuzuki's chest and closes his eyes, feeling the warm and comfort in Tsuzuki's arms.  Soon, Hisoka falls asleep contentedly.

Tsuzuki brushes Hisoka gently and smiles.  Hisoka looks so sweet and lovely when he sleeps.  He pulls Hisoka closer to him and holds him protectively.

Owari.

I hope you like the story.  Also, I hope whatever is wrong with the Canada and America black out, it will be fixed and it won't be happening again.  Arigato for reading, leave me a review, please?
