Disclaimer: I've done some soul-searching lately to uncover hidden ideas,
and I came up with this one. It'll be a 2 chapter story, though.. It is a
combination of Laby and another "fairy tale" *cough Disney Movie cough*
but see if you can guess it. Oh, and I own nothing so far.
-------------------------------------
Jareth sat in his castle in an apparent moodiness. He was staring at something in his crystal, and every so often, he would frown. He put the crystal away as someone walked into his room.
"Rink? What is it?"
"Your majesty, I worry about you," responded his young friend. He had run away from home and found his self in the Labyrinth, where Jareth took him under his wing. (A/N: bad pun, I know)
"Is that so?"
"Jareth, Sir, I think you are too busy watching her to watch over your kingdom."
"Yeah? Well I think you should mind your own business."
"Sorry, My Lord, but it has been many years. She does obviously not want to come back. Shouldn't you..get over her, as mortals like to put it?"
"Over her? Over _her_!? Impossible."
--------------------------------------
"Hello, Sarah."
"J-Jareth? What are you doing here?"
Sarah sat on her bed, waiting for her parents to get back from that benefit they left for, when Jareth appeared on her open windowsill. Sarah was older now, as five years had passed since her journey to the Underworld.
"I came to see you."
"J-Jareth! I..I.." Sarah got out of bed slowly, her light blue flowing nightgown swirling around her feet.
"Shh. I..have feelings for you, Sarah. Come back with me to the Labyrinth. Be my queen. Be the mother to the Goblins. Teach them things, tell them stories." Jareth stood up from her window seat and walked to her side. He looked down at her, brushing a loose strand of her Blue-ribboned hair out of her face. She looked up at him, her eyes trailing along his Forest-green tights to his confused face.
"I..I Can't, Jareth.. Toby.."
"Sarah?" Toby's voice came from the doorway. Sarah tore her gaze from Jareth's hurt eyes to look at her younger brother in his footy-pajamas and Lancelot in his small hand.
"Go back to bed, Toby."
"Sarah! It's him! The Goblin King!" Toby waddled over to Jareth's side and tugged on his legging. Jareth knelt down to Toby's level.
"Yes?"
"It's you! Why are you here?"
"I came to take Sarah away to the underground."
"Really, Sarah? I wanna come too! Please?" Toby hugged Sarah's leg.
"No, Toby. I'm not going and neither are you." Sarah pushed Toby away from Jareth.
"Sarah.." Jareth's voice was surprisingly soft.
"No. I have a life here. A family." Sarah rested a hand on Toby's shoulder.
"Bring the child. We'll all be a family together."
"Yeah, Sary! I wanna play with the Goblins! I wanna go on a 'venture! I wanna teach them how to fight!" Toby punched invisible air. Sarah smiled weakly.
"I'll tell you what. I'll go, but just for a short time. If I want to stay longer, I'll stay forever. But Toby will have to go home." Jareth looked overjoyed as he picked up Toby.
"Of course! You hear that, Toby old boy? You're coming with us!" Toby threw his hands up and grinned, as Sarah sighed at how adorable the two looked, and how right that scene looked.
"But how will we get there?" Jareth held up a crystal for Toby to see.
"Wow! It's like a star!" Sarah smiled. Jareth nodded for Sarah to come closer.
"That's right, Toby, it is a star. Look inside the star and hold on tight." In a bright flash of light, Sarah found herself in The Underground.
