Day 7 – Steady Breathing
She leaned on me a little while ago when she fell asleep. I listen to her steady breathing, and it seems to help clear my mind so that I can think. I'm not willing to give up so easily. There must be some way out of this disaster.
My musings and Sydney's sleep are both cut short however as the metal door swings open and our eyes are flooded with light. Before I have time to even react though, I feel the butt of a rifle making contact with the side of my head.
After that, I am blissfully unaware.
