Disclaimer: This is the only disclaimer I am putting throughout the story.
Only the plot belongs to me, also I made up the first names of Minerva's
parents. I also made up most of the names used in the sorting.
Prologue
"Mummy, Mummy! Look it's a chocolate frog, can I get it please?" A young Minerva McGonagall begged her mother.
"No, honey." Her mum replied wearily.
"Daddy, can I get it?" Minerva asked sweetly.
"Of course you can sugar plum!" He replied, pulling out a few galleons.
Mrs. McGonagall hit her husband on the shoulder.
"Alexander!" She exclaimed.
"No darling, you can't get it." He said to his five year old, putting the money back into his pocket.
Minerva pouted, but didn't whine. She knew that her parents could, and would, get very snippy if she whined.
"Baby? Why don't you go into the robes shop with mummy, and I'll meet you two outside of Florean Fortescu's in, let's say an hour?" Her father asked, gaining a nod from her mother.
Minerva nodded as well and followed her mum into the shop.
"Me and my five year old are in need of some dress robes." Mrs. McGonagall told a woman inside.
The woman nodded and handed Minerva's mother 3 small robes.
"Which do you like sweetie?" Her mother asked.
"That one." Minerva said, pointing to a pale pink one.
Her mother nodded and then tried on some robes. Half an hour later Mrs. McGonagall had made her selection and the mother and daughter were found standing at the checkout station. The door of the shop suddenly burst open and flocks of panicking people flooded in, checking to make sure they had everyone they had come with. Adele McGonagall looked out the stained window and knew almost instantly, that he was there.
"Stay in here." She commanded her daughter, and handed her the bag with the dress robes. As soon as she was bag free, Mrs. McGonagall sped out of the shop, whipping her wand out as she went.
2 and ΒΌ hours later, Adele McGonagall returned to the shop, looking tired, forlorn, and upset. Mrs. McGonagall enveloped her only daughter in a tight hug, before telling her something terrible.
"Lord Tiburon and his followers attacked Diagon Alley. The Dark Lord killed you father in the fight." She trailed off, and the woman and child fell into another hug, sobbing for the loss of a divine husband and a fantastic father.
End Prologue.
A/N That was the Prologue; please tell me what you think. I already have the first few sentences of chapter one written, and the sorting and the feast, and on the train. But In between that I don't have much. I have lost my first hp book and am very distressed, because I need the supplies list and the Letter of Acceptance. If you are willing, please email them to me at dreamy_silver@yahoo.com thank you. Please Review!
