The Disc
"Body in the sewers, coming our way"
"Ok. Get some guns over the cover, I'll check the monitors" Alec answered to Mole.
"Max, it's Logan. Hey guys." He called to the group guarding the cover, guns poised, ready to shoot, "You can stand down. There's no-one else down there."
Joshua removed the cover and Logan clambered through.
"Got it" Logan said looking at Alec.
He turned and looked at Max. Their eyes met and the electricity between them was tangible. Their worlds stopped and all they could see was each other. Max didn't want this moment, which seemed to go on for an age, to end. Logan broke the gaze and turned towards a computer.
"Lets see what we've got here"
Logan inserted the disc into the computer and started to type.
Meanwhile Alec was talking to Max.
"He should of let me go with him"
"You know how dangerous it is out there Alec."
"This situation is my fault to start with."
"Stop trying to be macho"
Alec turned his head away to look at something else. This was one argument he didn't want to have.
"It's all there." Logan said smiling. "Max we can get rid of this virus forever."
Max looked at Logan.
"Get this to your scientist/doctor friend, but don't get your hopes up. Remember what happened last time? I can't go through that again."
"Don't worry. This..." Logan replied holding the disc up. "This is all we need"
Alec looked at the pair and then felt a surge of guilt for hoping the miracle cure Logan had found actually didn't work.
