Spoilers: Seeing Red
Song: My Reply by The Ataris
Synopsis: It's like a mix between Seeing Red and Once More With Feeling.
Tara hugged Willow closely, singing softly in her ear-
I got your letter and the poetry you sent me
postmarked in December of last year
I really hope you're doing better
all your friends close by your side
one step closer to recovery
"You know, you put me through hell?" "Do you forgive me?" "I do." "I love you, Tara." "I love you too, Willow." Will sang back, her sincere
voice full of guilt-
I wish there was something I could say
to erase each and every page
you've been through
even though it's not my place to save you
Tara smiled. "Please, I like my memories the way they are." They kissed,
"Thank you Willow, you make me complete." The window glass shattered,
drowning out Tara's last words. Willow crouched over her lover's still
body. "Tara?! Baby! Get up!" Willow uncontrollably began to sing,
cursing herself for doing it-
I appreciate but can't accept this thank you note
that's sealed with your last breath
and I won't stand aside
and listen to you give up
"Tara, damnit, get up, now!!" Willow sobbed, "Stop screwing around and get
up!-
If you'll just hold on for one more second
Just hold on to what you have
Just hold on/ just hold on
If you'll just hold on for one more second
Just hold on to what you have
Just hold on/ just hold on
"Oh goddess, Willow, stop singing." Willow cursed herself again, slapping
her face in an attempt to snap herself out of this singing frenzy.-
These arms remain stretched out to you
Maybe someday you'll accept them
Maybe its too late to save a young girl's heart that slowly stopped beating
"Come on Tara, wake up Baby! Goddess!! Who in the hell did this!?"-
Wake up wake up you've got to believe
Wake up wake up
You cant give up time keeps going on without us
Long after we're dead and gone
"I can't live without you Tara!" Willow rested her head on Tara's chest,
she soon realized she shouldn't have. The echoing sound of Tara's
nonexistent heartbeat was haunting.-
I wish there was something I could say
To erase each and every page
You've been through
Even though it's not my place to save you
Willow looked through the now glassless window. From her high place she could see Xander holding Buffy, lying in the yard and Warren's retreating
back.-
I appreciate but can't accept this thank you note
That's sealed with your last breath
And I won't stand aside
And listen to you give up
If you'll just hold on for one more second
"Hang on Baby, I'll get help. Willow looked to the Rose Quarts on the dresser. Grabbing it she placed it over the gaping wound in Tara's chest.
"Come on, come on."
Just hold on to what you have
Just hold on/ just hold on
If you'll just hold on for one more second
Just hold on to what you have
Just hold on/ just hold on
Willow collapsed to her knees, grabbing hold of the windowsill on the way
down. Not noticing the pain as the shards sliced her hands open. She brought her hands down to her lap, finding her hands bloody, tears blurred her sight. Her fingers covered in her own blood found their way to Tara's chest. Willow let their blood mingle as she held Tara close. "Just hold on Baby." Willow knew it was no use, Tara's body was growing colder. The
love of her life was just a body.
