A totally pointless story of love.
After a day's worth of training, Riku and I decided to take a break and sat down under a sky filled with stars. My eyes were constantly moving to Riku every five minutes. Finally, Riku caught me looking at him.
"Uh," I said forcing my eyes up to the sky. "Pretty night isn't it?"
I saw Riku starring at me from the corner of my eye. "Uh-yah, right!" He said looking to the sky.
"When I can't sleep, I usually go on top of my roof and stare at the sky." I said dreamily. "Every time I looked up, I'd always see a strange constellation."
"Well, do you see any now?"
"Yeah, if you look over there," I said pointing east. "You can see a lady's face."
"What? I don't see it." Riku asked squinting his eyes. "I can't find it." He leaned closer to me so I could feel his warm breath on my face.
I started blushing, but it was too dark to see it. "Right there." I said connecting the stars with my hand.
"Oh, cool." He smiled. "It looks like."
"Like my mother." I said as tears appearing my eyes. I lowered my head slowly as tears trailed down my cheeks. Memories came rushing through my head and an image of my mothers soft and warm face came up in my head. "I miss mom." I whimpered.
Riku put his arms around me. I felt the warmth of his chest around my back and his hands on my shoulders. "It's alright." He said patting my back. "..It's alright.." he repeated. He put his hand under my chin and pulled it up to his face.
"It's okay." He whispered wiping the tears off my cheeks. He drew me closer to his body and hugged me again. I flinched. My eyes widened to the size of walnuts. Oh my god! I thought to myself. Am I dreaming? Tell me this isn't a dream! I slowly put my arms around him.
He's so..I thought to myself. .perfect.so comforting.. so warm.. I closed my eyes.
"Riku.." I said breaking away from him. "Umm." I said getting up and looking the other way. "I.I've been wanting to tell you this, but when you got together with Kairi. I didn't have the guts to tell you anymore. So, I had to keep it in." I said turning my back to him. "But.. I just want you to know." I turned to him. "That I like you. I like you a lot.."
We starred at each other for the longest time. Finally, I turned away blushing. "I'm sorry, Riku.I'm so stupid." I said walking away. "I shouldn-
"Wait." He said grabbing my hand. "I- I like you too."
I turned around quickly. "But Kai-"
"I know!" He said. "But that guy Ryosuke just keeps on hitting on you. I couldn't stand it any longer so I went for Kairi."
"But you two have been.kissing" I said slowly.
"She already knows I like you." He said squeezing lightly on my hand. "She told me that I'd be better off being with the person I like most."
"Oh.she did" I took my hand away from his and turned my back to him. "But I can't just."
He came closer to me. "Please, Hikaru." He said putting his hand on my shoulder again. I slowly turned around. He pulled me closer and put his hands in my hair. He slowly lowered his head and laid his lips on mine. It felt so good, I didn't want to end it. Then after a few minutes, he broke away. I felt so faint inside but managed to stay on my feet. "I love you Hikaru." He said.
