Author's Note- This time Pete's thinking.

Is This Love
~*~
I should have known better
Than to let you go alone
It's times like these
I can't make it on my own
Wasted days, and sleepless nights
An' I can't wait to see you again
~*~
Pete sighed drowning a shot of whiskey. Logan was sitting across from him. The two had decided to go out drinking. Pete had hoped that getting out would take his mind off of Kitty. He sighed taking a drag off of his cigarette. She had been avoiding him all week. He had pulled Rogue aside who had explained simply that she was taking his prodding to think about it very seriously.
~*~
I find I spend my time
Waiting on your call
How can I tell you, babe
My back's against the wall
I need you by my side
To tell me it's alright
Cos I don't think I can take anymore
~*~
"What's wrong?" Logan asked finally. Pete looked at him confused. "Having problems with the Half-Pint?"
"What?" Pete asked startled. "Where would you get that idea?" He glared at his scotch.
"Look, I'm going to be blunt."
"As you always are."
"Kitty talked to me the other day."
"Yeah?"
Logan took a drag of his cigar and let it out slowly. "Apparently she has this thought that you don't really want her."
"We had that talk."
"Did you?" Logan asked taking another drag off of his cigar.
"Yes. I thought I told her . . ." he paused glaring back at his drink. "I just don't know what she wants."
"Obvious," Logan said in his usual gruff manor. "She wants what every girl wants. To know that you care, idiot."
"Gee thanks," Pete muttered. He took another shot thinking about her once again.
~*~
I can't stop the feeling
I've been this way before
But, with you I've found the key
To open any door
~*~
"C'mon, kid," Logan said standing. Pete stood and followed him stumbling slightly. Logan turned and watched him smirking.
"What?" he asked.
"Nothin'," Logan said. "I just remember you being able to hold your liquor better than that."
"I can," he said trying to hide the slur in his words. "I can `old me liquor fine." Logan rolled his eyes.
"Whatever," Logan said taking Pete's keys.
"`Ey! Those're mine!"
"I'll drive you home." They got into the car.
~*~
I can feel my love for you
Growing stronger day by day
An' I can't wait too see you again
So I can hold you in my arms
~*~
He stumbled out of the car. He stopped looking up to where he knew her window was. "What do I do?" he asked looking at Logan. "How do I show her?"
"For starters sober up," with that Logan threw him into the fountain. Pete stood sputtering.
"Bloody `ell, man!" he exclaimed. Logan merely smirked and walked away. Pete shook off the moisture and started inside.
~*~
Is this love that I'm feeling
Is this the love that I've been searching for
Is this love or am I dreaming
This must be love
Cos it's really got a hold on me
A hold on me
~*~
