Disclaimer: I don't own Yami no Matsuei.if I did, I could have Watari all to myself!!!! *ahem* Author's Note: Ok, I got this idea after watching episode 13. it seemed like such a natural progression that I just had to put it to paper.it kinda made the series more complete for me (what can I say, I'm a major yaoi fan.^^) I hope ya'll enjoy it.it's prolly the shortest thing I've ever written! ~R.A. ~~~~~ Hisoka stared at the falling cherry blossoms, thinking.
"Hisoka, you'll get a cold if you stay out here."
Hisoka turned to see Tsuzuki standing in the doorway, still in his hospital robe. He tried to look stern, "What about you. You should still be in bed!"
Tsuzuki shrugged, "I'm fine." He walked out to Hisoka. "I wanted to thank you for rescuing me."
It was the younger man's turn to shrug. "It was nothing. You always rescue me, so I wanted to rescue you."
Tsuzuki turned away, "It was something. You cared enough to save me."
Hisoka opened his mouth to say something, then closed it.
Tsuzuki continued, "I'm glad you're finally opening up."
"Muraki's not dead," interjected Hisoka suddenly.
The purple-eyed man smiled sadly, "I thought as much-he's not one to die that easily."
Hisoka nodded, "Hai." He glared at the back of Tsuzuki's head, "And you'd better not even think of dying before he does, 'cuz if you do, I'll bring you back to kill you myself!!"
Tsuzuki turned around slowly, "So.does that mean I can stay with you.forever?" "Hai, Tsuzuki-kun," murmured Hisoka, looking down. "If you want to, I don't want you to ever leave me again."
Tsuzuki took a tentative step towards the boy, "Hisoka."
He looked up, eyes streaming tears, "I-I thought I'd lost you." Tsuzuki ran up to catch him as he collapsed, "I thought I'd lost you." Tsuzuki hugged Hisoka to him, "It's ok.I'm still here.I'm still here."
Hisoka shook harder with his tears.
"Look at me, Hisoka-kun," ordered Tsuzuki gently. Hisoka slowly raised his head. The dark-haired man smiled down at him, "I'm still here because you gave me something to live for. I could never leave you.koi."
Hisoka's eyes widened in disbelief, "N-nani?"
Tsuzuki leaned down and gently captured the green-eyed youth's lips in a feather-light caress. At first Hisoka was too shocked to respond, but as Tsuzuki was pulling away, Hisoka pressed his lips harder against the older man's.
When they finally parted, Tsuzuki whispered, "I'll never leave you, and that's a promise."
"Good, 'cuz I wouldn't let you go.Aishiteru, Tsuzu-kun."
"Aishiteru." ~~~~~ Tatsumi and Watari watched from the doorway at the two lovers.
"I think," said Tatsumi sighing, "that they are both finally beginning to heal."
Watari just nodded.
