Frodo's Decision.

How I wish I was back in the Shire,
Instead of going towards the Mountain of Fire,
Or back with the Elves in Rivendell,
Before Gandalf fatally fell.
I blame myself for Gandalf's fall,
As it was my idea, after all,
To go through the mines instead of the snow,
Where Gandalf held on - but had to let go.
And as I stand here alone on this river bed,
I think back to the words that Gandalf said,
That all we have to decide is what to do with our time,
And from that moment on, I made up my mind,
To go to Mordor - alone if must be,
And as I sail across the river, I hear Sam call me.
"Go back! I'm going to Mordor alone," I say,
Said Sam, "And I'll go with you on your way."
"But you can't swim!" I shout, as Sam dives in - I gasp,
I offer a hand, and finally feel Sam's grasp.
"I made a promise to not leave you ever."
"Come on then, Sam. Let's go to Mordor together."
As the land of Mordor we both see,
I say to Sam, "I'm glad you're with me."
