I watched you walk away from me
I knew you would be gone
I knew I couldn't cry or scream
I knew I was fate's pawn
I remember the look you threw at me
As I sank below
The darkness took a hold of me
And you just let me go
I could tell you liked her more
This much I always knew
But I didn't know that I only meant
As much as dirt to you
I saw you run to her, and then
I let anger fill my heart
I let the darkness take control
And it ripped me apart
Jealousy would be my end
My light left me today
But love could be my new rebirth
And you both still walked away
No! This was my choice alone
Only I'm to blame
I played hi-risk with my own life
And I simply lost the game
So I sit in the door of light
Alone, about to die
All I can think of is you, my friend
And how you learned to fly
