Mary wonders briefly if Donna isn't actually short for Madonna; because it should be. She would like to reach out and touch her golden halo, only to get stricken with God's own thunder.
A good, honest Christian woman should never – she would never – she doesn't even stand a chance. Donna smiles uncomfortably and Mary realizes that she's been staring. She smiles sweetly and walks away with three Hail Marys to keep her from harm.
Her body stings with disgust and desire, confusion, anger and the resolution –

She crosses herself over and over again but she'll never feel cleansed.
