When Love Will Be No More

It was nights like these that made Xellos feel like he had a heart. He felt warm and somehow wanted by everyone.The last few nights Lina and everyone had invited Xellos to spend the night in the camp with them. He lay up in a tree watching his traveling companions fall asleep. The stars were ablaze in the sky and the moon shined like a pearl. He thought about Lina and how she always yelled at him for leading them in the wrong direction.
Then he thought about what Zelas had said to him..."You have to get rid of her any way possible"... Those words kept running through his mind over and over. Xellos watched Lina sleep then drifted off to sleep himself.
As morning came and the sun rose, Xellos woke to the sun shining in his eyes. The next thing he heard was Lina chowing down on a chicken leg. It was disgusting....it sounded like a pack of wolves devouring a deer. "Life is wonderful. Wouldn't you say so Mr. Xellos?" Amelia asked chearfully. Xellos opened one eye and gave her a half of a smile.
Like always the group went on and Xellos disappeared into the shadows to appear on Wolfpack Island. "Zelas?" Xellos asked hoping for an answer. He felt a cold presence behind him and before he could turn around he felt someones cold breath in his ear. "Xellos have you gotten rid of her yet?" Xellos simply replied..."Sore wa hitmisu desu......" He could hear her low growl and didn't attempt to make any sudden moves.
She moved swiftly to her pewter thrown and sat down. Xellos bowed before her. "I'm sorry master...but I just couldn't resist." He smiled and looked up to only see her scowl at him. "I want her gone and I want her gone soon!" Xellos smiled and agreed, disappearing back into the shadows.
"I'm warning you...give me the bread and no one gets hurt.." Lina said through a mouth full of soup. Gourry was holding it close as if it was his last doller. Ameala was eating a salad and of coarse Zellgoddes was drinking his signature cup of jo. So no one noticed when Xellos came in and sat down at their table. "May I join you?" He sat down and asked knowing only Zell was listening to him.
As day grew into night and the sun went down everyone headed off to their room. Lina opened the door and looked around the room before sitting down on her bed. It was soft..and she was so tired. Xellos slid her door open and waltzed right in. Lina stared daggers at him.
Xellos seemd to glide across the floor as if he was a ghost. Lina started to get nervous and sat up ready to chant a fireball spell. He came close as if he was going to hug her. She gasped for air as he pushed the dagger into her chest. Lina tried to scream but it was no use. Xellos backed away and layed her lifeless body down on the bed and covered her up. As he walked out of her room he shed a tear then smiled and headed back to the shadows from whenst he came.
