Disclaimer: I got this idea from watching Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron twice in one day. The characters I'm using are not mine. None except Windsong and Blackstreak.

Trowa sat on the front lawn of the house he bought recently. I was a large, Victorian style house with 2 floors and a forest in the back yard. The white house with a black trim contrasted the night sky making it appear to glow. He admired it for a minute before returning his gaze back to the sky, pointing out constellations to his dogs Carnage and Chewy. "There's Draco, the dragon," Trowa said to Chewy, a golden retriever puppy his sister had given him. "And Orion." He pointed to the three stars that made up the famous Orion's Belt. Then a few stars caught his eye. Three stars in the shape of a triangle, Pegasus, the winged horse. "What a beautiful horse he must have been."

As if on cue, a horse whinnied in the distance. Trowa knew of the herd of wild horses that lived in the forest behind his house. The dogs would bark at them every so often, but he never saw one. Never, that is, until that night. A beautiful, white mustang trotted over to where the brunette and his dogs sat. Trowa, nor the dogs even knew the horse was there until it stood directly over them. They stared, unblinking, at each other, the horse and Trowa. During this time, the dogs crept silently away, somewhat afraid of this horse. He had never seen such a beautiful animal, but why hadn't the dogs barked as it approached and why weren't they barking now?

The horse backed away from the boy, signaling him to follow. He stood up, looking at the mustang questionably. "You want me to follow you?" The horse nodded. Trowa's eyes went wide. "You can understand me?" Again, the horse nodded, motioning for him to follow. "Right." They ran through the woods, the mustang out front, Trowa close behind. He can ran fast for a human, the horse thought to herself as the boy sprinted right up next to her. Sure she wasn't running at top speed, but he still shouldn't be able to keep up. He'll be perfect. The horse closed her eyes, a light surrounding the boy and herself.

Suddenly, he ran faster than ever before. Trowa knew he was fast but this was ridiculous. The white mustang came up behind him. Now she was running top speed. She grabbed his hair and pulled, trying to slow him down. You run too fast. He heard the mare say. You talk?! She smiled, sort of. No, but you can understand me. He raised an eyebrow, snorting to show that he was confused. Snorting?!! Trowa looked over himself. A horse! A powerful gray and white mustang with green eyes, brown points and a brown mane. He stopped suddenly and looked to the white mare. How? She motioned to herself. Me, I did this. We need 2 new stallions for our herd. Our first was captured. I was hopping that you could help. Nodding, agreeing to help, Trowa asked. Who's the second? She looked toward the forest. My mate should be bringing him soon.
