There he stands,
alone in the dark,
lost in the tears of rain.
The determination of life lays at his hands,
as it drips of a dark crimson red.
As blood and water mix,
his fragile innocence lost.
And though soaked through,
ambushed by a shower of tears,
a smile still seethes forward.
Now there he stands,

scarlet, a blanket scattered across his palms,
and still with a smile.
Yet as the darkness roams over,
hidden below,
lies the sorrow and tears,
draped by that illusional smile.
