She waited anxiously at her computer, tapping her long, bony fingers on the old computer desk. She was finally got from her chair and glanced out the window.

"Nope, not yet," she though as she pulled down the vertical, white blinds. She went back to her desk and began to ponder when she would be getting any mail from her friends.

A few minutes later, she walked back to the window, pulled up the blinds, and glanced back outside. But once again she pulled down the blinds, and jumped on her bed.

She gazed at her sliver watch, it was just two in the morning. She turned over onto her side began to listen through her wall.

"They just snoring, typical," she whispered silently to herself. She turned onto her back and started at the ceiling. It was just a plain ceiling, not anything extraordinary. She closed her eyes and began to drift off in sleep.

A dim light shimmered thorough the vertical blinds as the sun had rose, and another day had begun. She had woke up with her arms reaching towards the ceiling as she yawned. She got up from her bed, her bare feet barely touching the floor as she sat straight up on the side of her bed. She gazed at her feet for awhile and then stood up once she found some strength in her to wake up.

"Disgusting," she murmured to herself after she had looked at herself in the mirror, realizing she had slept in her clothes.

"CALLIOP!" Shouted a voice from the first floor.

"What do you what now, mum," replied Calliope who pulled out a neatly, creased pair of muggle jeans.

"I want to come down here this minute!" Shouted the voice again, but it was more harsh than before.

Calliope ignored it, and began to murmur to herself faintly. Calliope ignored mum again, but she had stopped murmuring.

"What is this?" Questioned Calliope as she began to feel something hard and stiff under her toes.

"Yuck!" Screeched Calliope as she immediately leaped off the unmoving owl, that was saturated in a pool of dried blood.

"What is it now, you disrespectful brat," said Calliope's mum callously.

Calliope's mum stared at the owl, and then on to Calliope, and then back on the owl again.

"Whose owl is it?" asked Calliope's mum shamefully. She didn't care too much about the dead owl, but the thought of whose owl concerned her.

"I have no idea," uttered Calliope discourteously as she folded her arms and started to stare at the wall.

"Look at me when I'm talking!" Yelled Calliope's mum furiously. Calliope ignored her and continued to stare at the wall.

"Are you listening to me, you disrespectful brat?" Asked Calliope's mum Who once again, did not receive an answer. Calliope's mum got furious at this and walked over to Calliope and slapped her on the back of her head. At the same moment, Calliope turned around and pushed her mum out of the way.

"Where do you think your going?" Yelled Calliope mum more furious than before, who was still lying on the floor.

"I'm leaving this place," replied Calliope boldly. Calliope's mum blinked and said something else, but Calliope ignored her and continued on her way with a trunk in both hand, and a letter between her teeth.
