Tara is quiet- peacefully asleep beside me.
The curve of her cheek makes my breath catch in my throat. Sandy blonde hair falls over my pillow, my every breath sending it fluttering like downy feathers caught up in the wind. It doesn't seem possible that she's really here beside me. Yet it wouldn't feel right if she weren't.
She stirs, still sleeping, and curls her body close to mine. I drape an arm around her, my muscle and bone fitting perfectly into her soft curves.
This reality is better than any spell I could cast.
Being with her is perfection.
