Erik's POV. I think the title says enough. Takes place on the roof of the Opera that one fateful night.
I listen as you tell him those words
those utterly beautiful words
that in one moment
I have grown to hate
I watch as you embrace each other
And speak of me
Half cruelly
And half out of pity
I feel my heart constrict
I love you
And you love him
No matter what
I want to hear you say you love ME
I want you to feel the words
And understand them
And accept them
I want your body to feel for mine
What mine feels for yours
I don't want friendship
I want intimacy
I know this will never happen
My wish will never come true
But I want you to need me
I want you to want me
I want so much
Yet I ask for so little
And you give me pain
Beyond my beliefs
So my hunger will go unfed
And my heart uncared for
My loved unreturned
And my need unrequited
