I DON'T OWN HP SO GET OVER IT!!! This is another R/H fic, b/c I LOVE them together!!!
Part I: Hermione ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hermione woke up, and tried to remember what had happened last night. It had been the Yule ball. yes. She had gone with Viktor. she had seen the look on Ron's face.
She remembered with a shameful pain aching in her mind the hurt and betrayed look on his face. the anguish.
Why, oh why did she have to feel so guilty? She really, really liked Ron. She dreamed about him almost every night. She not only loved his wiry frame and cute hair, but his wit and his charm and his smile. He was so fun to be with, and he reminded her that there was so much more to life than books and schoolwork. He brought out the fun side of her, but never made her act giggly and ditzy.
She had seen the jealousy there in his eyes when he'd asked her, *Hasn't he asked you to call him Vicky yet?* She'd felt terrible. When Krum asked her so sweetly to the Yule Ball, she really didn't have it in her heart to refuse. She didn't really have feelings for Viktor, but he had asked her first. She'd had no idea how much it would upset him, or that the look on his face would make her realize that she was not able to suppress her feelings for him, no matter how hard she tried.
She was furious with herself for being so stupid and assuming. How could she assume he wouldn't be that hurt? How could she assume that she could put a hold on her heart for just one night? She started to cry silently, thinking of her stupidity.
As her tears fell softly and silently onto the crisp white Hogwarts bedsheets she remembered what happened just before the ball- Ron asking her to the ball, her holding way back to keep from jumping into his lovely arms and confessing her love to him right then and there. Only the thought of her promise to Viktor and her fear of being rejected by him that shut her up.
Oh, how would she deal with it? He probably HATED her now. Oh, what a miserable life she would lead, loving the same boy she had hurt so deeply. She cried even harder as the unwelcome dawn started to pierce through her window.
~ ~ ~ * LATER * ~ ~ ~
When she had stopped crying (or, more slowed to sniffling and the occasional tear) she gathered herself and set her mind on the day ahead. She had homework. She had to get dressed. And she had to face him. again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~
You like??? A bit angsty right now, I admit. Next part is Ron's part of view, still in the process, but. please REVIEW!!! It's awesome to get them. you know how it feels. Much love, Lynn
