Waking up from a short night of sleep, Logan shook out the dirt from his hair unto the ground and stumbled up to his feet. He'd more often than recently slept in more comfortable positions than last night, using a rock as a pillow, but it was nothing to complain about. And even if he wanted to complain, there was no one around to listen. Life without convieneint stores and cash to buy cigars was getting old very quick and the nagging doubts Logan had gotten two months ago were starting to make some sense. He'd been alone before and he'd been broke before but he had never been unsatisfied living that way. He missed that someone who was nearby to be a jerk to and the feeling of a womans breath upon the hairs of his neck. Specifically, Jeans. Not like he got to have this feeling often back in the days that she was still living in, but the moments she was just close enough to kiss the lobes of her ears. The moments in his dreams that they shared a secret love for each other and that the breeze blowing past him as he stood in the courtyards of the garden was her standing beside him. Logan gave a quiet scoff, inwardly guarding the tough guy facade. Logan knew only too well the feelings harvested deep within him that stored his emotional side. Jean had excavated them the moment her hand touched upon the temples of his face. But those moments were mere memories now and the dreams of a lonely rogue. If any of it were truly real, Logan thought deeply, maybe Jean would be alive today.

Glaring into the empty courtyards, Rogue let out a quiet yawn out of boredom, giving quick attention to the girls who were gossiping on the couch in the room beside her. As her hand came to her mouth, she admitted to herself feeling a soft satin against her lips really wasn't such a horrible sensation. It was still as pleasant as drinking vodka for the first time, a gift and a curse.

"Like some company?" the soft, cool voice of a guy spoke from behind her, speaking low enough to not startle her. Rogue's ears tickled by his closeness. When she turned around, he took notice of his eyes first. They were breathtaking and familiar.

"Bobby Drake? Aren't you in my bio class?"

"Yeah, since last year." he said not losing his cool on her quite yet. "I've been meaning to get to know you," and chuckled a little, "I mean, introduce myself." Tangling her fingers together, Rogue slipped a smile out before he looked up from his embarrassing moment. It wasn't so embarrassing for her, only awkward. A moment she was not sure was really going on. It was a nice feeling, especially since Bobby Drake was handsome and had a princely air about him, only not arrogant. Southern gals like her had specifications often higher, but he slid right by.

"So," she subtly hinted for a response but nothing arose except his eyes meeting into hers. "have you introduced yourself yet or did I miss it?" Rogue said nervously with a slight smirk. Bobby stepped up to the plate quickly, grabbed her gloved hand and kissed it slowly. Rogue was disapointed his lips barely pressed hard enough for her to feel it well, but the gesture still made her heart pound.

"What was that for?" His eyes iced over and glee spread over his lips.

"To fufill a lifelong goal of mine."

"And what was that?"

"To kiss the prettiest girl I've seen." Rogue would have loved it if he sat down beside her, or even if he just stood there and talked to her. Only Kitty had walked over just then and took Bobby away, saying she had a math problem she needed his help on. With a silent sigh, Rogue gave her attention back to the courtyards, her mind wandering aimlessly through the forest and gates. All inanimate to everyone else but the girl who saw their light. Sadly though, with their glimmer, it stole her illumination and day after day, dimmed her. Could Bobby have really seen through her darkness? The exhuming darkness was thick but not impenetrable. This dark angel may actually shine once again.

Sick of it all, Scott muttered beneathe his breath while sitting through the meeting discussing tonights mission to the abandoned building Magneto may be using to train his mutant spawn. Since the location was unsure, all on account of Magneto's helmet Professor could not penetrate, there was a 20 mile diameter of forest they had to search through. Magneto was the last man Scott wanted to run into, and likewise for Magneto if he knew of the ill intentions in Scotts mind, because of the day in that dam. If Magneto hadn't done what he'd done, they all would have had more time to get out of there and Jean Grey wouldn't have just become some casuality. Storm calls his rage blind animosity but what did she really know about loss? What did she really know about that mission? She missed the part where Jean and him fought, she failed to see the woman limping her way out of the jet, barely able to stand all because of a broken leg, off to save the day. They say Scott Summers is the best controlled mutant at Xaviers institute. Just they watch as their well-behaved freakshow opens his shades upon one nasty bad guy. Just let them call that blind animosity then.
