Summary: A she-Elf goes into battle, only to be injured and taken in by a He-Elf unknown to her. She does not know where she is, or how to get back to her home in Imladris, and has no chance to until this mysterious Elf heals her... is this a chance of a new friendship, something more, or nothing more than a conspiracy?

Prologue
"I should have never left Imladris."
"This was a mistake."
"Why did I do this?"
These were the thoughts coursing through Glamriel Hostawen's mind as she lay sprawled on the ground, clutching the arrow that stuck out of her right side. Remnants of a small battle lay around her; bodies of both Elves and Orcs. The day before, Elven guards were scouting for warriors, for word had spread of a band of Orcs planning to take Elrond Halfelven's House by surprise. Just why she had to sneak into battle, despite the "He-Elves only" rule, was beyond her.
Another sharp pang of pain from her side jolted Glamriel from her thoughts. Had she not been ambushed by two Uruk-Hai at the same moment, she would have had the chance to kill both in one swipe of her dagger… but it did not happen as planned. Distracted by the first foul creature, she slashed its throat with her dagger and did not have time to turn around fast enough.
And now she was paying for it. Faint moans could be heard from around the battle scene, from other injured warriors. Glamriel's heart longed to help heal the wounded, but even though her healing powers were at a minimum compared to the Healers of Elrond, she had to heal herself first. Just then, her pointed ears pricked up at a sound, not those of the dying bodies around her… the sound of steps. What's more, a horse's.
"Hello?.." The She-Elf breathed. "Is… someone out… there… that can… help… me..". Just then, the pain from her side caused darkness to consume her, and she lost consciousness.
