A/N: Howdy ho, there! So, this is only me second shot at a poem thing, so
Review me and tell me how ye like it, savvy? I kind of made this in
Gandalf's point of view (White version). . . But go on now and read!
The Last Battle
What would happen
if all the world
falls into shadow and despair?
If everyone
and everything
knows that they were defeated . . .
But that has not yet come to pass
We still fight for our freedom
And the Dark One shall fall
and the world shall go back
to what it really was . . .
But what will be the outcome?
We have not yet been overruled,
as also we have not yet won
We fight now with all our strength
We shall go against
the shadow
That threatens Middle Earth
Our home, and home to many . . .
Two hobbits now struggle
Somewhere out there,
against all odds
to achieve their goal
The Ringbearer weakens,
but he will not give in
He knows the danger
But ceases to cower
We fight for freedom
and the world of men
As for all races
But the Elves are leaving Middle Earth,
so we must trust to men
Gondor needs its king
Aragorn must reclaim the throne
And darkness shall fall again . . .
We will not give up
We never will
We fight for our freedom
A battle between good and evil
But what shall happen in the end?
Who will emerge victorious?
What losses will be made?
Who will suffer?
Many say there is no hope
But there is always hope
Hope for Frodo and Sam
Hope for Aragorn
and the world of men
Hope for us all
And so now we come to it at last:
The great battle of our time
But we shall never give up
We fight for our freedom
We fight for Middle Earth
And a new dawn will come
To vanquish the shadow . . .
