Once upon a time Cinderella found her prince
Thumbelina spread her wings
And everyone lived happily.

Once upon a time I would climb trees
I would dream of things that I wished to see
And I'd make believe I would grow up to do all these wonderful things.

Once upon a time we were claimed free
We were led to believe that gold paved the streets
And time after time we were deceived.

Once upon a time someone took what was mine.
I watched as he stole from us and killed my mom and dad
I was only nine.

Once upon a time I was full of hate
I walked the streets hungry and cold searching for the man that handed me this fate
And finally one day I found him with a smile on his face.

Once upon a time I tried to revenge my parents death
With all my strength and hate I fought the man that put a knife to my mother's chest
And in the end I walked away and I found I still felt the same
But I wear the patch that reminds me to this day of my foolishness.

Once upon a time I met a kid a lot like me
He said, "Come with me I'll get you something to eat, someplace to sleep, and I'll tell you how I make a livin' and stand on my own two feet.
Then he said, "By the way, my name is Jack. Jack Kelly."

Once upon a time I met the guys that I now call friends of mine
They embraced me and taught me how to survive
And they always assured me that everything would be alright.

Once upon a time we were on top
We over threw a great corporation
And made them give us back what they took from us.

Once upon a time I took a stroll to clear my mind
And in an alleyway I found the love of my life.

Once upon a time I had it all
No excuses for nothing, I stood tall
But just like a bad story she had to go
So up to heaven she went
But to this day she holds my heart in her hands.

Once upon a time a beauty fell for a beast
And a great king stood tall on his feet
As I will when I join my sweet.
