AN: Hi yall!!! Tookle Here!!! I just saw Then movie DONNIE DARKO for like
the 4th time last night and I decided to make a story bout it. This was
really just a spur of the moment kinda thing so it might seem etchy at
times.
As I said before, this story is based off the movie Donnie Darko. It is an amazing movie, intriguing and truly thought provoking. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who is sick of the usual mindless dribble that is most thriller movies. Donnie Darko is truly a work of art. Also I recommend that you see that movie before you read the story however you should be fine without it, but you might get confused at times.
Disclaimer: I do not own either the film Donnie Darko (including the characters in it) nor do I own any rights to the Harry Potter series. If I did own the series then you'd be seeing some SERIOUS changes.
On with the story..
What I'm Shown
To say that Harry was grateful for Moody's warning to Vernon Dursley would have been a complete understatement. Harry was glad for the peace that allowed him to mourn the death of his grandfather as well as to contemplate what he had been told concerning the prophecy.
Of course Harry had to do all the usual chores as before but it became a necessary evil as he reveled in the distraction. The work let his mind focus on the tedious chore of weeding rather than the task he had been given before of saving the world. Quietly, he would spend his free time locked away in his rooms, trying his best to think about nothing.
Sleep had become bearable, as he finally decided to actually attempt what Snape had been trying to teach him the past year. After the death of Sirius he never wanted to be the cause of another loved one's death again. After about 2 weeks of practice he found himself becoming quite adept at the task and had completely stopped dreaming all together. But the thing he was most grateful for was the fact that the trained disconnection from Riddle stopped his scar from hurting.
Harry would write to his friends often. With Fudge finally admitting to himself that Voldemort was back, he also acknowledged Sirius' innocence. There was to be a small funeral in his memory; and, of course Harry was glad to go.
He didn't receive much updated information on Voldemort, considering that it was dangerous to place such vital information to an owl.
Other than the obvious things were going somewhat smoothly at the Dursley household. Vernon's business was booming, keeping him in a virtually endless good mood, much to Harry's relief. A big shock game to him when his OWL results came in. He had received Exceeds Expectations in all his courses except DaDA, in which he received an Outstanding.
Another thing that was different about this summer was that he had decided to take a leaf out of Hermione's book and started to read more, often spending the whole day in the library. He had found a particular liking in novels and would check out sometimes 5 at a time and finishing them in a week. He grew fond of the greats; like Orwell and Hemmingway. In addition to the novels, Harry often found himself studying history more. Harry's personal favorite person for him to study was Ivan the Terrible (5 points to anyone who can tell me why).
As things wore on and his birthday drew nearer, Harry was finally getting some peace...until the dreams started.
Ok, this is the deal, if you can answer the question about Ivan and harry then I'll continue the story. If you think it sux then just tell me so... But tell me y also.
