My second songfic is somewhat a sequel to my first songfic, "It Might Be You". But this time it isn't about Keitaro. This songfic concentrates on his promised girl, Mutsumi. The concept of this songfic is similar to that of my first one, it happens before the events in Love Hina and in terms of having constant memories of the both of them making their promise when they were kids.

"It Must Have Been Love" is a song by Roxette, back in the late 80s or early 90s. I picked this as my second songfic is because it's a nice song and it has meaningful lyrics.

Well, here is it, my second Fanfic, or should I say, Songfic,

Mutsumi sighed as she flipped through her photo album from her childhood days. Even thought it was late at night, she still couldn't sleep. She was thinking about her first love, that young boy who had played with her in the sandpit at the playground near to Hinata Sou.

"A promise is a promise, but it has been many years since" Mutsumi mumbled.

She sighed as she shut her photo album and looked out her window. The guy she had made her promise with is in mainland Japan, while she was far away on an island near to Okinawa. All she could do now is to hope that they will reunite someday.

The radio in her room was playing her favorite song, "It Must Have Been Love" by Roxette. She turned the volume up slightly louder. The reason why she had chosen this to be her favorite song was she had dedicated it to her childhood love. Mutsumi begin to sing along,

Lay a whisper on my pillow

Leave the winter on the ground

I wake up lonely, is there a silence

In the bedroom and all around

Touch me now, I close my eyes

And dream away...

It must have been love, but it's over now

It must have been good, but I lost it somehow

It must have been love, but it's over now

From the moment we touched till the time had run out

Make believing we're together

That I'm sheltered by your heart

But in and outside I turn to water

Like a teardrop in your palm

And it's a hard winter's day

I dream away...

It must have been love, but it's over now

It was all that I wanted, now I'm living without

It must have been love, but it's over now

It's where the water flows, it's where the wind blows

It must have been love, but it's over now

It must have been good, but I lost it somehow

It must have been love, but it's over now

From the moment we touched till the time had run out

The song then faded and ended. Mutsumi turned off her radio and went to bed. Before going to bed, she prayed that she will find her childhood love, no matter how long it takes.

Well, hope you'll like it! Have a nice day!
