A/N: This is so cheesy, but I wanted to write it anyway! It's a short fic.

A Pillow Fight Brings Romance

Summary: Harry feels depressed about Sirius and Hermione makes him feel better. Much better. H/Hr

Harry Potter stared sadly at Grimmauld Place. Sirius had lived here and now, smells and memories of him flooded the house. He walked slowly inside, ignoring everyone's stares. Mumbling, " Hello," he walked upstairs and sat on his bed, his eyes overflowing.

Hermione Granger watched Harry walk past and barely speak. She could make out a " Hello," and she sadly watched him trudge upstairs. Her eyes beginning to tear, she jumped up and hurried after him. Ron Weasley, their other best friend, stood up too but Mrs. Weasley yanked him back down.

Harry heard footsteps on the stairs and sighed. He never had any privacy in his life. Wiping his eyes on his sleeves, he gazed blankly out the window. A knock came on the door and Hermione walked in. His face flushed and he tried to make his eyes look normal. " Hey, Hermione!" he said, fake cheerful. She grimaced and folded her arms. " That doesn't work with me, Potter."

Hermione mentally sighed. His fake cheerfulness was not going to work! She crossed over to him and sat down beside him, waiting for him to speak. He slowly grinned and stared at her. " Yes?"

Harry smirked. Hermione's face had turned scarlet. He looked at her closely. Her frizzy hair was overflowing her shoulders and her chocolate brown eyes were full of concern. She looked... beautiful. He blushed and she snapped her fingers at him. " Hello... anybody home?"

Hermione stared at Harry, expecting an answer. He looked... handsome. His emerald green eyes were now twinkling in amusement and his mouth was twitching with a smirk. " You look different, 'Mione," he slowly said, his eyes on her like a hawk. She blushed and playfully swatted him. " You too."

Harry looked over at his pillows and got an idea. Lifting one up, he smacked Hermione with it. She screamed and jumped up, her eyes blazing with determination. " You asked for it, Harry!" His eyes widened in mock alarm and he ducked as she swatted at him.

Hermione laughed as she smacked Harry with the pillow. He fell down and she tried to slip away. " Oh, no..." he said, a grin on his face. He gently pulled her down and whacked her with his pillow. She shrieked and suddenly found herself smushed against Harry.

Harry gazed into Hermione's eyes. They were staring anxiously at him and he pulled her closer. She slowly gasped and he placed his lips gently onto hers. He wasn't an experienced kisser, so it was a little sloppy. A thrill shot through him and he deepened the kiss, his tongue slowly slipping onto her bottom lip.

She sighed softly against him, wishing this kiss would never end. She felt his tongue and she returned it. He gasped as he felt this; this was a whole new side to Hermione. She put her arms around him and his fingers became tangled in her hair. She anxiously pulled him closer, desperately needing love. When they pulled apart, Harry kissed her softly on the forehead.

Harry knew it, then. He was in love with Hermione. He kissed her passionately one more time and stood up, pulling her up. She kissed him fiercely and he staggered back. He fell onto the bed and pulled her closer, never letting go of the kiss. Outside, Ginny slowly closed the door and smiled.

The End!
