Dear Diary,

Well, today started off like any other day. They say running clears your mind and makes you feel better, so I've taken up running. The billboards of Mr. Agreste's Alliance Ring is everywhere. I wonder how Adrien feels about his image being used?

"I thought Adrien was no longer a model, thanks to you, Marinette," Tikki asks, echoing my thoughts. I hope it stays like that. "That's not the real Adrien, Tikki. That's a computer form of Adrien." My cheeks heat as I stare at the billboard. Even if I tell myself I have put my love life on hold, I can admire him from afar. "You are still in love with the real Adrien," Tikki points out. She knows so well, even if I say otherwise. "Oh, no, that's over. As long as I'm-" I glance around to make sure we're alone. "As long as I'm Ladybug, I refuse to be in love with Adrien or anyone else." That lonely feeling creeps into my tummy, but I have to keep moving forward and it will go away. Besides, I lost the Miraculous because of love.

I jog down the block and here Mr. D calling out to a kitty. "Come here, boy!" he says. What is he thinking!? He could really get hurt up on that building? How many times have Cat and I told him not to do that? I'm about to transform to help, when other girl in a Ladybug suit jumps in to help.

"I'm coming!" she says, swinging up to help him. Luckily, this "Ladybug" gets herself and Mr. D down safety. I peer closely at her. "Soquline?" "No, I'm Ladybug. Just a normal superhero. Bug out."

I have to laugh here, Diary. Since when has my life ever been normal, with or without the suit? Though, that would be nice. Just sew and draw all day long, and someday, own my own shop.

"Do you know her, Marinette?" Tikki pops her head out of my fanny pack. "Maybe. Its time to go buy some paint."

I race home and ask Mom if she needs paint for her art class she teaches on Saturdays (one these times I'll go). "Well, I still have a little left,"she starts to say, but I'm already racing back out the door.

I park my scooter at the bottom of the escalator where all the shops are located. "What are we really doing, Marinette?" Tikki asks. Tikki knows me so well as she knows I'm up to something.

"That fake Ladybug from this morning, I think it was Soquline. She's a school friend from last year. Knowing her, she means well, but I have to convince her not to put herself in danger." "Your not going to tell her your the real Ladybug, are you?" "Of course not. She can't expect anything."

I tiptoe into the store, hoping to see sneak up on her, but she sees me straight away. "Hi, Soquline."
"Marinette, it's been awhile." and we give each other a kiss on both cheeks like us French do.

"To long," I say, feeling like a detective, trying to solve a mystery. "So, what have you been up to?" She says high school's a big chance but awesome. "How's school for you?" she asks. "Oh, its alright." (I don't like it when people get akuamtized, Diary, but its gotten me out of a few math tests, I'll tell you that! Though, eventually I have to take them. Boo.)

"Even with Chloe?" "She's as awful as ever, but I've learned to handle her." I pause, tapping my pencil against my desk. Is it because of me being Ladybug now that I have grown with confidence? Or am I getting better at standing up for myself?

"I've changed a lot, and you have to. Any new activities?" She lists of the schedule she has, and by the sound of it, she's nearly as busy as Adrien! "Did you come for anything in particular?"

"Yes, answers," I blurt, "I mean, paint for my mother. Red and black if you know what I mean." You know, don't you, Diary? Ladybug colors?

She asks her Alliance ring and stare at it. "Wow, its the first time I've seen it in person," I tell her. Its got everything. Soquline tells me it works best with your voice and she asks how many steps she's put in today.

As cool as might be, I still feeling like something is off. "Its hard to tell the difference between this and the real Adrien." "What? You know him?" "Oh, not that well. He sits in front of me in class." "Oh, your so lucky! So, what's he like?" If only she knew, Diary, that I'm a Lucky Ladybug, ha ha!

"Is he standoffish?" "Totally the oppiste," I tell her and I notice my voice starts to grow soft as I talk about him. "He's super nice, humble, a little lost, its the first time at school since his mother disappeared he'd only ever been home schooled. No nobody knows this, but Adrien didn't want to be a model at all. He couldn't bring himself to tell his father, so I helped Adrien confront him. He was really touched." For a moment, I'm brought back when he first vented to me about it, and he took hold of my hand. I can still feel the warmth of his hand wrapped around my own. I hope I gave him courage that day.

"Wow, you two, actually are close. Don't tell me you two are together?" I stare at my pictures of Adrien, and place a hand on my board. Then I go back to writing. "Over time, I guess we did grow closer. We have a lot in common."

It would be nice to spend more time with him, Diary. You know, I could tell him about my sewing and show him my sketches and even the ones for the shop. My dressmaker shop design is always changing it seems.

"You two are together!" "No, we're not together! We're friends, nothing more." "And your just a normal girl," I start to say, just as Mr. D. drops something on the floor with clatter. "And your just a normal principal," I tell him. "No, I'm a superhero." "Well, at least you aren't trying to be a superhero. Because its very dangerous when you don't have the same powers they do." "Yeah, but what's a relief for people to help Ladybug out?" "No way would she want that. Its way to risky." If I have learned anything it was about taking risks and how dangerous they are." "But you got to know when to step in," she says. "Yeah, I know, but its Ladybug's job to take risks. No one else." I'm surprised by my little rant, but people have no idea how dangerous my job can be.

"Sounds like someone's jealous because she wants to be a superhero," Mr. D murmurs to Soquline. "I do not! I'm very happy to be a normal girl, with a normal life."

I walk behind a shelf to talk to Tikki. "What she's not the fake Ladybug from earlier?" Only one way to find out, and its by checking the Alliance ring when a report by Nadia comes on. One of her experiments has gone wrong, and it looks like I'll need to step in as Ladybug.

Finding a excuse to come back to the art shop, I realize I'm still wearing the Alliance ring. Soquline. asks for it back, and I give to her. Then the ring goes off and tells us I've covered a hundred and thirty five miles! My mouth drops open as this was not part of the plan! "You have superpowers or something?" she asks, suspiciously.

"I must of done something to screw up the ring," I say, trying to cover my blunder. Soquline. adjusts the settings. Whew. "Well, I'll be on my way now," I say. "Marinette, wait. Don't forget your mom's order." Whew.

Tikki convinces me to go back, and just as I enter the store, there's a akuamtized villain talking to Soquline.! I dive back out onto the pavement, needing to transform. I scramble up and start to run, looking for a place to transform. "She's played Ladybug so many times, Monarch's on to her!"

When I get back into the store, I see paint cans and other items scattered around the store. A beeping noise alerts me, and I see the Alliance ring laying on the floor. I hear what took place between her and the akuma villain on the recording.

When I find them, I yell, "Let the girl go, Dark Owl!" Cat Noir lands on one of the roofs of the small shops and whirls his baton. "Smells like a trap, M'lady!"

He tells us that its is a good trap and we can't escape it. He release Soquline. towards the can of paint but Cat leaps into action. "Lucky Charm!"

"A alarm clock?" I look around, hoping to see how to piece these pieces of the puzzle together, but for now I'm getting nothing. Darker Owl shoots something at Cat, and spring into action to save my partner.

Darker Owl laughs and shoots a bright pink light towards us both, and we are unable to look away. Then I throw my alarm clock and it hits him right in the forehead, knocking him out. I grab the akuma, and immediately he detransforms. "He has the power of the Jubilation," I tell Cat, as we help Mr. D stand up. "But where's the Miraculous of the Pig?" Cat points to Mr. D's suit pocket. Cat takes it out. "A business card?" I ask. "Monarch's address?" Cat adds.

The scene changes and suddenly we are in Monarch's lair and together we punch forward, knocking Monarch to the ground. I grab the Butterfly Miraculous, and the scene changes yet again, as the people of Paris clap and cheer for us, as we have won.

We are sitting in a movie theater, and Cat hands me a drink. "Cat-Cola," he jokes. "You know, lately, you've been really charm-meowing," I flirt as I sip on my soda. "Am I dreaming, or did you just steal one of my jokes?" he asks, leaning forward to look at me.

"I think I know why you make jokes," I say, as I wrap my arm around his as I lean my head against his shoulder. "Oh? And why is that?" his voice is soft, alluring, perfect. Even now as I write this, I can hear it in my mind, calming my beating heart. Deep breath, Marinette. Its good to get your thoughts out.

We lean towards towards each other, and then a alarm clock starts to ring, interrupting us. I stand and shut off the giant clock, not knowing in reality, another alarm clock rings in my hand.

Cat and I place a hand on each other's cheek, and its like when you go into REM sleep, the world of dreams.

Cat and I kiss and suddenly where at our wedding, facing our friends and smiling. I toss my bouquet over my shoulder, but as Rena catches it its another ringing alarm clock. "Rena, shut it off!" I call, hands over my ears.

The bright sun is partly covering by the swaying of the palm branches and once again the alarm clock makes me sit up. "M'lady, its Sunday. We have all the time in the world," Cat says, eyes closed. Shutting off the clock, I lay back down and wrap my arms around his waist, laying my head against his chest.

We're back in Paris, with four babies in strollers beside us, as we eat ice cream, watching the sunset. Cat rests his hand against my knee, and lean my head against his shoulder. Suddenly, I start to choke, spitting out a ringing clock into my hand.

"Again? All these alarm clocks are turning into a real nightmare." And that's when it hits me. My babies have disappeared, only to be replaced by even more ringing clocks. My eyes well up with unshed tears, threatening to spill over at any moment.

"Cat Noir," my voice shakes as I fell the tears stinging my eyes. "This is a dream." "I know, M'lady. Living with you is the sweetest dream." He strokes his hand against my cheek, and I burrow into it. "No, you don't get it, we're in an actual dream," I gabble, not wanting this perfect dream to end. "But, are you saying, this is all fake?"

I squeeze my eyes shut tightly, a slight whimper coming from my lips. Cat tries to grab it, but I wrench it away, and he falls forward, tears dripping from his eyes. "But I don't want to lose you again," he says, his voice cracking with raw emotions. "Neither do I, my sweet Kitty. So kiss me."

Our tears fall like rain, and suddenly it is raining and I disappear from my Kitty's grasp. I pause, running my finger across my lips. Even if it was a dream, I still feel the emotions of the kiss.

The dream ends just as Darker Owl would have taken my earrings, but I leap upon him, looping his arms behind his back.

I have jump out of the way of his grappling hook, only to be kicked in the forehead and thrown against the wall.

Cat leaps with his baton, "How dare you play with our feelings like that?" he chokes out, his voice cracking with emotions. Cat's arms tremble as Darker Owl falls to the ground and he calls out for his Cataclysm.

Cat is so angry and filled with emotions, he nearly cataclysms him. "No!" I scream, hoping Cat can hear me, and just like that, he pauses, breathing heavily.

Cat is breathing hard and his green eyes are wild, as he stands there, inches away, and cataclysms just the face mask.

From my position, I breath a quivery sigh of relief. If I hadn't been there, things could have been much worse.

The akuma flaps towards the sky, but I'm staring at my partner's face, and Cat's face is empty and dead.

I snag the akuma, not saying a word. I ask the same question I ask in the dream: where was the Miraculous, but Cat's eyes are downcast, not even looking at me. That look on his face makes my tummy feel cold and clammy, I want to take my partner's hand.

I give Mr. D a magical charm, but its hard to speak, my mind is in a fog.

Back at the art shop, Soquline. says, "I'm sorry I impersonated you. I just wanted to help." "I know," I say, trying to soothe her. "I just wish you'd help me in so other way."

Later that evening….

"How did Monarch give the power of Jubilation to Mr. D without giving him a Miraculous?" Cat asks. "I don't know. I don't get it."

"Ladybug, that power of Jubilation, its supposed to show our deepest desires, right?" "Yes." "But that wasn't real right," he asks, looking away from me, his voice scratchy. "The wedding, babies. Totally….fake." "Are you sure?" he asks, and I cannot look at him. "Monarch must of altered it somehow to trick us." Oh, Diary, I've always wanted kids, to be married, why did I tell Cat that?
