The third X; Ishtar's worshipper, Isis's predictions
Ishizu, priestess of the Egyptian gem goddess Ishtar looked out her window. Her long, aristocratic fingers touched her necklace, a gift from the goddess she serves when she became High Priestess. Ishtar and Horus had combined their powers to create a set of these-such items and then they'd distributed throughout Egypt. The prophecy of the coming would be realized and the last item will be awakened. The last item, the manacle of Ishtar and Bastis, the gem and cat goddess's creation. The eighth item.
Ishizu stepped away from the window, her footstep tapping quietly against the marble floor. Her shadow danced in the moonlight and she moved towards her water basin. Dipping her long, elegant fingers into the cool liquid she splashed her face with the water. Ishizu stepped away from her water basin and out the door, she treaded lightly down the hall and into the main room.
Lighting the torch, she kneeled before Ishtar's statue. "Oh goddess!" she began, "It has begun, the child which we have feared to awaken has arrived after a millennia of waiting.." she continued and then bowed her head until her forehead touched the cool marble floor's surface. The winds of the desert whipped around the tendrils of her hair and the goddess's answer came in the whispers of the wind, 'dooon't wooohrry chiiiihld. It'll allll plaayy out.. Just dooon't let heeer dieeeh.'
The winds fingers disappeared just as soon as it came and Ishizu stood up, "I wonder what Ishtar meant when she said not to let her die?" she asked herself fingering the golden necklace around her neck. Ishizu slowly walked from the main room back into her room and out to the balcony that overlooked the city below. Ishizu balanced her head on her hand and looked out at the stars, wondering what would happen tomorrow.
