Joon quickly gave herself a check from top to bottom. The shape of her hair was in immaculate rings, every precious jewel on her was glistening under the midday sunlight, and her premium boots were spotless.

Only a rich, high-class pestilence goddess of her standing would look this good while on any other outing in the Human Village. It was inevitable that she stood out among the usual residents of the village going about their business, which was exactly what Joon wanted. Of course, as far as they all knew, she was just an exceptionally wealthy and well-dressed human of the upper class.

Most afternoons she spent strolling the village were when she looked for profits and fun, usually involving scamming some rich human, making a nice profit, and treating herself to a luxurious meal. On this day however, Joon was already mentally making backup plans on the chance that today's plans went awry. That was because of the company she planned to have today.

"Where is she?" Joon tapped her foot impatiently, glancing to and fro both ends of the village streets. At last, she spotted a familiar shade of blue hair popping up from the horizon. "Hey, Sis! Over here!"

"Joon!" Shion waved in greeting, before heading towards Joon's direction. Shion had a habit of sticking out of a crowd as well, but by looking so impossibly impoverished and destitute compared to even the unluckiest humans. Joon knew she'd probably have to put in quite some work to try and make it so the two of them don't draw too much attention together.

Joon and her sister, the poverty god, Shion, had arranged to get lunch together on this day. Joon believed that if left to try and feed herself, Shion would have been sustaining purely on salt and grass. Thus, Joon saw it fit to occasionally treat her sister once in a while, since she's such a radiant, magnanimous and kind-hearted goddess.

"What took you- …Oh."

"We're not late, are we?" Shion asked as she came closer, and to Joon's surprise, already accompanied by someone. "It took a while to remember which part of the village to look in. Even Lady Celestial had some trouble."

"Honestly, these village streets are all too identical, on top of being too drab!" The celestial in question, Tenshi, said with a shake of her head. "They should ask me to remodel the entire architecture from top to bottom, with a splendour to match the taste of heavens."

If Joon stood out among the crowd by looking like she belonged in an upper class, Tenshi stood out by looking like she surpassed the concept of classes all together, as a combined result of her flawless texture of her clothing along with her subtle divine aura. Joon couldn't help but think about how much harder this was going to make blending among the crowd while they went shopping.

"I didn't know you were bringing a friend." Joon said, raising a brow between both Shion and Tenshi.

"Oh, yeah. Is it okay if Lady Celestial joins us for lunch?"

"That's the kind of thing you should ask ahead of time, you know?"

"Haha!" With her usual loud, proclaiming voice, Tenshi abruptly chimed in. "I decided to accompany her today. It was a celestial's will, so Shion cannot be blamed for being surprised."

"You mean it was a whim." Joon said, incredulously.

"If it came from a celestial, then either way, it cannot be turned away." Another confident, unnecessarily loud declaration from Tenshi.

However, upon seeing the thinly veiled annoyance on Joon's face as she rolled her eyes to one side, Tenshi continued in a significantly less grandeur tone all of a sudden.

"...Unless, you only meant for today to be for family to spend time together?" Tenshi asked, her smile carrying what Joon almost thought looked like a shred of self-consciousness. "Something that precious, even a celestial shouldn't disrupt-"

"Hey, shut up, you're weirding me out!" Joon quickly exclaimed. "I don't care about any of that sappy stuff! If you both want to follow me today, I don't care!"

Joon turned on her heel and strided away further down the street. Shion took a relaxed pace as she followed after though, speaking to Tenshi as she did. "Aw, that's so nice… I think my little sister's become so much more open-hearted lately."

"Was that 'open-hearted'?" Tenshi tilted her head, but otherwise didn't question further and followed after as well.

Naturally, Joon picked out the richest place that suited her taste. That part of the village was already only frequented by the wealthiest of humans, and the restaurant Joon chose was one of the most luxurious there was.

After asking her sister and the celestial to go order for themselves anything they wanted, Joon helped herself to her business in another corner of the restaurant.

"You're only spending that much? At a place like this, why not indulge yourself a little with me?"

In no time at all, she had already inserted herself into a group of particularly well-off looking customers, expertly and effortlessly fluttering her eyelashes where she needed to and earning herself a seat between all of them. The unsuspecting customers in turn, happily opened up their wallets, practically possessed by Joon's invitations to spend.

If everything kept proceeding as smoothly as it had so far, Joon expected to have a perfectly luxurious day ahead of her. "Surely you all deserve to live a little more lavishly-"

"What kind of establishment is this!?" A loud voice suddenly exclaimed throughout the restaurant, drawing the attention of everybody towards it.

That included Joon, who glanced over to the back end of the restaurant, where Tenshi was getting right up into a waiter's face, with Shion right behind her.

"Did you not hear what she said?" Tenshi said, somehow looking like she might consume the waiter despite being shorter. "She asked for extra pickles!"

Shion nodded urgently from behind. "They're going to be the majority of my sodium intake today, so I need every bit I can get…"

Quietly sighing to herself, Joon couldn't bear to look any longer. She also really didn't want to have to get involved, but the chances of those two settling that matter quietly by themselves were looking very slim.

Just as she was about to try to exit the premises as subtly as possible, she suddenly heard a different voice from nearby speak up in a hushed tone, and what Joon heard made her flinch. "W-Wait, isn't that… It is! They're the most despicable and disastrous duo!"

"Oh, hell." Joon muttered under her breath and nearly shot to her feet right there and then. That was it for her plans at this place, then. She couldn't even be surprised that she had been recognised as the ruin-bringing pestilence goddess, since her sister was drawing so much attention to them. Now it was a choice between leaving quickly or being driven out with pitchforks or something.

She only realised a second later, however, that nobody was really looking her way. Instead, everyone's suspicious and worried glances were focused on Shion… and Tenshi. And Joon picked up on all sorts of whispered comments in the air.

"Those two are the most disastrous duo right…?"

"That short one's even claiming to be from heaven…"

"We need to avoid those two blue-haired ones…"

It was a bit bewildering to take in at first, once Joon realised that everybody was talking about the most disastrous duo but it had nothing to do with herself. There was a brief moment where she thought she should maybe feel offended…

…But it was only for a moment. Joon put on a smile as she turned around and addressed her fellow patrons.

"Ew, is that who those two are? I don't want to be anywhere near those despicable freaks! I'd rather leave to spend my money elsewhere. Anyone else with me?"

When it came to a choice between being in the vicinity of the infamous, disastrous duo, or to follow the glamorous Joon elsewhere, it could hardly be called a choice for the wealthy humans.

"That place was such a bust!" Tenshi complained as she walked away from the restaurant. "I should have realised sooner it was unfit for a celestial to set foot in!"

"It's been a while since we've been kicked out of someplace…" Shion replied from shortly behind, shoulders slumped. "I'd feel nostalgic if I wasn't still hungry…"

"The day is still young, so I'm sure we can absolutely find a better place to invade with your sister. …Wait, where is she?"

"Huh?" Shion glanced to the left and right but saw no sign of her sister. "I have no idea…"

Just as the two were glancing at one another in confusion, they suddenly heard Joon's voice. "Hey, you two!"

Walking from the opposite direction was Joon, who greeted them with a smile in between counting a stack of bills in her hand.

"Joon!" Shion hovered over to Joon's side. "When did you leave the restaurant? I was wondering if you might have gotten lost in a crowd."

"That hasn't happened in over a century! Anyway, that place was no good, so me and a couple of new good friends checked out a different spot for fine dining." Joon couldn't help but say with a big, satisfied grin. "Got you two something, by the way."

She handed Shion a bag from under her arm. Shion dug through them, and found two large, expensive steamed buns. Shion eyed them eagerly, while Tenshi picked one up and looked it over with meticulous appraisal before taking a tentative bite.

"Ooh! My sodium intake is saved after all!" Shion wasted no time in biting out a chunk of the bun, though most of the fillings proceeded to clumsily fall out and onto the ground, which she noticed a second later. "...Aw."

"Here." With an amused smile, Tenshi held up her bun and offered it to Shion, who then gratefully and eagerly bit into it. As Shion happily chewed, Tenshi turned her head to Joon. "So then, we're all in agreement that previous establishment was a waste of our time, then?"

"I don't know about that." Joon said, shrugging her shoulders, but she still wore a warm smile as she put away her stack of bills. "I think this afternoon turned out pretty fun. So if you ever want to tag along with Shion and I again, you're always welcome!"

"O-Oh!" Tenshi didn't know why she was surprised to hear that, but she was simultaneously relieved and grateful all the same. "Really?"

"I knew it." Shion happily giggled to herself as she looked between the others. "Not just open-hearted, my little sister is becoming more kind and friendly too! Maybe all that temple training has something to do with it…"

"Don't even joke!" Joon said with a wry smile. "But yeah, I definitely don't mind doing this again."

"Then… Ahem!" Tenshi cleared her throat, and made sure to respond with unflinching aplomb. "Of course! I'd also be happy to bless you both with my presence whenever the time and mood suits me!"

"Sure, sure. It's definitely a blessing for me if we can all get together like this sometimes."

"Yay!" Shion and Tenshi both cheered. Meanwhile, Joon surreptitiously patted her fat purse, which was definitely the most blessed today from Tenshi's presence.
