Moonlight Serenade

Disclaimer: I don't own Jack Sparrow *sniffle* and for all I care my cat Spookers can have Elizabeth.

A/N: This is just a little poem about Jack and Elizabeth's stay on Rum Cache Isle (or Lizzie-you're-so-stupid-why-didn't-you-just-kiss-him Island) Your pick. ;-) I'm keeping the title of the poem the same as what's on the POTC soundtrack. I'm also listening to the song for it (#9) while I'm writing this. Should be a little long... Review or email me heavensent0139@aol.com.

Firelight crackling,
Orange flames dancing,
White diamonds gleaming
In the velvet-blue sky

Half-opened bottles,
Of spiced and tart rum
Lying on jewelled sands:
A sea of pale crystal

Laughter like rain drops,
Singing like thunder,
Darting like lightning
Through shadows and fire

"Drink up me hearties"
Echoes like drum-beats
Through the mollusk reef
Unheard by a soul

A speech about freedom,
Sailing through oceans,
Watching horizons,
Scenery improving

Curling a mustache,
Golden teeth glistening,
Proposing a toast,
Elizabeth scheming

Waking to dark smoke,
"What're you doing?"
Rum now exploding,
Jack nearly screaming

White sails approaching,
Mocking and moaning,
There be no living
With hot-tempered scenery.
