"And that about it, now it's your turn to answer my questions boy" Raynare said calmly. A mysterious boy stood in front of her. She had been close to killing her target with her light spear when the blond boy jumped in out of nowhere and destroyed the spear with what seemed like a…knife? That was interesting to her. She had been looking forward to a fight from Issei hyodo, but the boy wasn't even aware of his sacred gear. Seeing no point in letting a potential threat to leave here alive, not that he was aware of the supernatural, she made the decision to kill him, only for him to be saved by the blond enigma. Yes she would call him enigma. He looked human enough, but the speed at which he moved was astounding and whats more she hadn't even sensed him approaching. Maybe she could get a fight she wished for, Afterall.
"I'm Uzumaki Naruto, Issei's classmate and yes I'm as much a human as he is" Naruto said pointing towards Issei. He had been watching the whole fiasco while concealing himself with the trees. The truth was he had always been able to tell certain beings from humans from the feel of their energy and he had sensed her energy the moment she had entered the school premises with Issei. The pervert getting a girlfriend out of nowhere and the peculiar aura she exuded, which was similar yet different to that from the ORC and Student council members, had managed to pique his curiosity. He had followed them everywhere they went for the duration of the date, using transformation, concealment and illusions too now that he didn't have his massive reserves. The woman called herself a fallen angel and told him about the supernatural world when he asked, since she wanted to know how he had moved at such speed and managed to block her light spear. She was a fool if she thought he was giving away any more information than that. He was a shinobi afterall and when they played games, it was always dirty.
"You're no mere human, boy. I sense no sacred gear from and humans can't move like that" She was sure that the boy didn't have sacred gear. Humans were fragile creatures when compared to the supernatural world. They were inferior to supernatural beings in every aspect. Unless they had a sacred gear embedded deep within themselves a feat like that was impossible to pull off.
"It's none of your concern who I am. I would suggest you leave this boy alone. From what you told, the sacred gears are artifacts with will of their own and are free to choose their masters. It isn't Issei's fault that his gear chose him. I cannot allow you to kill him for such stupid reason" He wasn't about to let an innocent person die just beacause the said person held potential to become threat in future. Though It wasn't the first time he was seeing such madness. Sandaime had kept the information of his parents from him in order to protect him from his father's enemies. If his father's enemies had gotten the whiff of his son being alive and well, they would've summarily tried to assassinate him in order to diminish any chance of another Minato Namikaze becoming a reality. This fallen angel was trying to do the same, eradicating a threat before it had a chance to become a real threat to her kind.
"So you decided to play dirty, huh? Well no matter, I'll just kill you along with the boy"
As soon as she said that, a light spear generated within her hand and her wings flapped backwards. Naruto watched as she bulleted in his direction. As the stable wind within the park split, the lone bang obstructing his right eye moved and revealed a glowing red eye with three tomoe swirling like a pinwheel. The infamous doujutsu of the Uchiha clan looked menacing on his visage. A fraction of second passed and raynare's spear was dangerously close to piercing his heart was when his hand holding a kunai within its grip moved and obstructed the spear with it's blunt side. Naruto's feet skidded backwards as they both pushed and fought for dominance. They were locked in a stalemate.
"You blocked me at my top speed, Uzumaki. You're good" As a grin danced across her supple lips, Naruto knew she was planning something. The kinetic field of vision offered by sharingan had made it a child's play for him to trace her movements and that's why it didn't surprise him as she summoned another light spear in her free right hand and made a movement to pierce his chest. He jumped back immediately. Landing a safe distance away, he narrowed his eyes on the woman as she stood to her full height.
Raynare was having a blast. The previous attack was just a test to ascertain whether he could keep up with her or not. He hadn't disappointed her. That meant she could use bigger guns in her arsenal.
"Try and dodge this" She raised hand and extended a palm towards him. Soon several light spears materialized around her, levitating in the air and encircling her frame. It was similar to how the truth-seeking orbs would hover around him.
As the speas darted, aimed for him, he waited till the last moment. Weaving through a single handed sign he disappeared in a puff of smoke. Raynare frowned in confusion as the smoke obstructed her view and the sound of wood being destroyed to splinters only confused her more. So far the boy hadn't revealed any of his tricks to her, besides the ability to move at the same speed as her, the only peculiar thing he did was summon that smoke. What was he up to, she wondered.
Abruptly her eyes widened and if it weren't for the instincts developed from years of battle, she would've been dead thanks to a knife piercing her skull. She ducked her head as the sharp object sailed through the air and embedded itself in a tree nearby.
"You continue to intrigue me, Uzumaki" She looked at the source from where the knife had come and spotted Naruto standing there. From the corner of her she spotted the wood splinters occupying the spot he had been standing previously. Apparently he had substituted himself with a log.
What an interesting being he was, if he continued to entertain her like that she just might go easy on him and his classmate when she killed them. After all he deserved a reward for putting up a good fight. She inspected her surrounding like a hawk, searching for tiniest of movements. In silence, a minute passed. And another. Then another. Until the inactivity made her feel perturbed. Frustrated, she extended her senses to spot the location he was hiding at.
She stiffened. Coldness the likes of which one would experience in frosty depths, crawled up her soul. Thoughtlessly her violet eyes were forced to look downwards. Blood-soaked appendage protruded from her torso. She couldn't fathom what happened. All of a sudden her surrounding blurred and vanished in a haze, it was as if something was lifted. She coughed out spouts of blood and looked over her shoulder. In that moment she knew the crimson oculus she was gazing into was the reason behind it all.
"That eye..." She whispered before losing herself to unconsciousness.
