Luke and Cassie recently found out that the petition to overturn the bad conduct discharge was successful. They were both nervous, Given that Luke deployed the morning after they got married. So they'd never been together with him stateside, because they'd done everything backwards. But they both knew they'd get through this together. They worked together and communicated with each other. They made decisions together. They learned to take everything in stride, from Cassie starting college, to their daughter being born, to Luke's second deployment. Whenever either of them would get anxious they'd give each other pep talks, a skill they used for years after.

Today Emma had her first soccer game, Cassie walked into her little girl's room and saw the unsure look on her face. She'd seen the look on her husband's face many times, so she knew Emma was anxious. She motioned for Emma to sit on the bed. She looked at Emma and asked her what was wrong. Emma tells her "what if i don't do well?" At this point Cassie puts her little girl in her lap and begins stroking her hair, she knows the perfect story to ease her little girl's fears. so she asks her daughter "you know how daddy was injured when he had to go away the first time?" Her little girl nodded her head yes. She continues "you know how much Daddy loves to run, right?" Emma nodded her head yes again. Cassie continues "well, did you know that after daddy's injury, he couldn't run for a while, and it took him a lot of practice to run again?" Her little girl is shocked at this revelation. Cassie tells her little girl that she has practiced so much that she doesn't need to worry, she'll do great. At this point Luke comes into the room with Frankie and asks if they're ready to go. Cassie smiles at her husband and tells him "yep, Em just needed a bit of pep talk." The couple and their son watch Emma score the game winning goal. After the win Emma runs to her parents and brother, and tells them "mommy, daddy, Frankie, i did it!" Her parents tell her how proud of her they are. Later as the couple puts their daughter to bed, she turns to Cassie and tells her "thanks for the pep talk mommy." The couple makes sure to tell Emma that if she ever needs another pep talk they'll always be here. Then they kiss their daughter and tell her how much they love her as she falls asleep.

Luke comes home feeling defeated after his run because a few people saw his leg and made fun of it. The scars had gradually healed, but were still present. He hadn't had anyone comment on it in quite a while. He climbs back in bed with his wife, but she's already awake. She can tell something is off, so she pulls him in close. She whispers "babe, what's wrong?" He tells her "during my run, someone made fun of it" She instantly knew he was referring to his leg. so She sits up and slowly strokes his leg. He's still insecure about it. She whispers to her husband "Luke, that scar kept you from bleeding out, it allowed you to come home and get your hallmark worthy love story, it allowed you to have a family. I love that scar, it shows the battles you went through." She begins stroking her husband's short hair, and pressing soft kisses to the top of his head. she tells him that those people were just jealous they didn't have a cool scar that inadvertently helped write a love story. At this point Luke starts feeling better, so they decide to take the kids to get some pancakes for breakfast.

Cassie needs her husband to tell her she's not crazy. She's wondering if it would be crazy to foster one of her students who is in the foster care system. Emma and Frankie are teenagers now. So Cassie was second guessing herself. Luke saw the worried look on her face, and decided to sit behind her on the couch. Cassie tilts her head and looks at her husband, and asks if she's crazy for considering this. Luke tells her "Cassie Morrow, you've always given everything to everyone, and I've been on board with this idea since day one, the kids are on board too." So that's how they become foster parents to a then 5 year old Grace, and eventually right before Grace's 7th birthday she officially becomes Grace Morrow. She cheers on her dad during marathons, alongside her mom, sister and brother. She gets to eat lunch with her mom, and hang out with her before and after school everyday. Both her mom and dad read her a bedtime story every night. Her brother and sister always make sure to never miss any of her games or recitals, and always give her piggy back rides and buy her ice cream.

Grace needs reassurance, she's bounced around foster homes for as long as she can remember. She's finally found a home with her teacher and her family, they're going to adopt her. She now has a mom, dad, brother, sister and a dog. She has finally found what she hopes to be her forever family. But she's been told for as long as she can remember to never get her hopes up. So she doesn't. Luke walks into her room, and notices there's something wrong, he sits down with his little girl and asks her what's wrong. She tells him "what if something happens this time? That's why i don't ever get my hopes up." Luke is temporarily rendered speechless as he thinks about what the little girl beside him has gone through. He finally responds with "we're going to try everything to make sure we become your forever family." At this point Cassie pops in. He then asks the little girl "do you think a movie and cuddles would help?" She has been with them for almost two years, but her doubt is understandable for everyone, so whenever she gets anxious about these types of things, everyone will find a way to distract her. Sometimes that means snuggling with her parents, or baking cookies with her brother and sister. The little girl responds enthusiastically with a yes to the offer of cuddles and a movie. So the three head down to the living room and start the movie. Luke strokes the little girl's hair, and Cassie hold's the little girls hand in hers, as she lays across her parents' laps. Later Emma and Frankie join them, and they order pizza. So the five of them eat pizza and ice cream. Luke keeps the promise he made to his little girl, and less than a month later they get an adoption date for grace. Less than a month after they got the adoption date, Grace is awoken by her mom, dad, sister and brother, they picked up a lot for breakfast, but by the end of the day everyone will have the same last name. Grace will officially become a Morrow. Later, after the five get done at the courthouse, they head to dinner, at the beach-side restaurant that started it all. Then head home and have movie night, As grace falls asleep in her parents laps she tells them "love you mommy, love you daddy." The remaining four decide to set up a fort, once Grace is situated in the fort, she sleepily whispers to her brother and sister "i love you." As the family of five fall asleep, Luke and Cassie kiss the top of the kids heads, then each other, as they whisper "we did it, she's ours, and i love you" to each other. Everyone was looking forward to what grace's first full day as a Morrow will entail.

Frankie needs a pep talk, he's thinking about enlisting in the navy as a hospital corpsman. His sister had chosen the marine corps and became a forth generation marine. He's heard several stories about the hospital corpsman who saved his dad's life during his first deployment. He's also heard stories about how some of the hospital corpsmen who helped his mom learn how to properly manage her diabetes after his mom and dad got married. So he sits down with his mom, dad and Emma and tells them he's thinking about joining the navy, as a hospital corpsman, and going green-side. which would allow him to serve alongside and save marines. His parents are so happy, because if it wasn't for the hospital corpsman who saved Luke life, he wouldn't have had his hallmark love story with his wife, and he wouldn't have Emma, Grace or Frankie either. His mom is so happy because of the hospital corpsman that saved her husband's life and they were also huge parts of her learning how to manage her diabetes. Emma is also super excited for her brother, he's carrying on the family tradition, just in a different way. Now he had to figure out how to tell his little sister, his dad helps him with that. 6 months later, they watch Frankie graduate from navy boot-camp, Grace is sitting on top of Emma's shoulders and together they yell "that's my brother!" Meanwhile Cassie and Luke laugh while holding hands. Eventually Grace follows her dad, sister's and brother's footsteps into the military
