I don't plan on turning Bella into a vampire, that's not part of the story I'm going to tell. It would be inconsistent with the title and repetitive. In my opinion, Bella's story as an immortal creature has already been shown not only in books or films, but also in many stories created by fans. The next chapter will feature Jacob who is 18 just like Bella, the entire pack, along with Leah Clearwater who will play a special role in Bella's evolution. The Cullens will come back and make a little mess. The Volturi storyline won't show up as Bella will never go to Italy to save Edward and become a vampire. Hope you enjoy the whole story.
Chapter III
La Push
The weather in Forks was not particularly sunny, so I quickly put my brown parka on and got into the van. All the way to school, I thought about what happened a few days ago. I couldn't focus on anything else. My thoughts were still occupied by the doctor's words. I was slowly beginning to realize what kind of human I had become with Edward. The truth was, as a vampire, he acted on me like no other. His smell, appearance, tone of voice ... everything he was drew me to him like a light moth.
He often assured me that he was in control of his desire, that he would never be able to hurt me. But what if one day he lost control of himself? He's a predator andi am his prey, my blood "sang to him" when he first saw me. Even such a supernatural being does not have absolute limitless control over himself. Sometimes even love does not stop us from hurting someone. He left me and that was all that mattered. I was sick of lying and being treated like a little child. I was already an adult and could make my own decisions.
"Hey Arizona, how's your weekend going?"
"Oh hey Mike, it's okay, I guess ..." I was trying to be nice.
"You haven't been at this table long enough"
"Recently, somehow I haven't really been in the mood for someone else's company," I mumbled.
"But from what I can see you are back in the realm of the living and you are even eating," Mike said.
He was smiling broadly at me, I knew he was trying to flirt with me. The poor man didn't know that my courtesy towards him didn't imply a potential date invitation.
"Why don't we all go to the movies? For some good action movie?" I proposed.
"I think it's a good idea, I don't know about you, but I haven't been there for a long time." Eric called.
"I agree with Eric, it will be a good opportunity to do something together, as a bunch of friends, such a little reunion." Angela was by my side as always.
"Hmm ... I'm willing if Mike agrees," Jessica added with a little reserve. Each of us knew how much she liked Mike, just waiting for him to ask her on a date.
"What do you think, Mike?" I prodded his elbow.
"Yeah, going to the movies with the whole pack is a great idea. So when do you suggest?"
"Maybe next Saturday?"
"Cool"
"Then we have an appointment," I said, getting ready to go to my next class.
Upon entering the house, I tossed my backpack next to the door and entered the kitchen. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Charlie spread out in his chair with Billy sitting next to him in his wheelchair talking about sports while the TV game was on. Not wanting to disturb them, I started to prepare dinner. Charlie will be eating pizza again while I'm gone. I thought he might need something more nutritious and looked into the fridge. I took out my steaks and started my cooking magic. I know how much Dad likes my kitchen.
"Bella?" Charlie called from the living room.
"What's the matter Dad?"
"Do you remember Bill?"
"Yes Dad, I remember, I also remember my childhood friend Jacob."
"He invited us to dinner tonight, honey. It would also be a good opportunity for you to meet new friends and refresh old acquaintances," he suggested.
I figured it was Jacob. Honestly, I haven't seen him in a long time; It's been over 6 years since we last saw each other live. It was also my last vacation with Daddy before Renee decided to cut back on my contact with Charlie.
"Cool, I'll just get a few things and we can go," I stammered out.
I really wanted to get out of Forks for a while. This city was suffocating me.
The journey to La Push took about 30 minutes. Charlie drove in an exceptionally good mood, which I couldn't say about myself. I was so nervous. I was hoping Jacob wasn't mad at me. That summer, I promised I would call, call every now and then, and never forget our friendship. I was angry with myself now because I had forgotten one of the most important people in my life, someone who had always understood me.
We got out next to the little red house with a little porch at the front. Billy was already waiting in the kitchen to greet us.
"Hello Charlie, Bella!" "Please come in and sit down. Jacob should be back soon, tribal affairs stopped him." he smiled. "Sue Clearwater brought something for dinner, I'm totally out of shape for that and Jacob doesn't have time."
I sat down on the couch next to Charlie. After a while I heard the door slam and Jacob stormed into the house. I didn't know what to say, he was much bigger and better built than most boys our age. He was much taller than Charlie, his face unlike that of an 18-year-old. His hair was cut off in the same waylike Sam Uley who saved me from freezing in the woods on the unfortunate night when Edward decided to leave me. And there was a strange tattoo on his arm. Same as Sam's ... I thought. Is this just a strange coincidence? Maybe.
"Hey Jake." Billy called from the kitchen. "Charlie and Bella have already arrived, will you help your old man with dinner? It is not appropriate to bother our guests with this."
The moment he turned around and our eyes met ... I could swear that I felt something amazing, a strange warmth spreading all over my body, my whole life so far passed before my eyes as if I was floating above the ground. We looked at each other for over a minute.
Then Jake ran out of the house. Leaving all three of us in shock.
