"A-Aura Sphere!" the trainer nervously called out as Lucario brpught his palsm together, forming a blue colored sphere in him palms.
"Earthquake!" the brown spiky haired trainer responded instantly. His opponent gasped as he saw how fast the Rhyperior moved on the field. And with one slam of it's food on the field, the entire ground shook, shaking Lucario out of his balance.
"W-What? That f-f-fast?"
"React fast Artie!" the brown-spiky called out, catching his opponent's attention. "Rock Wrecker!"
White watched in awe as the Rhyperior wasted no time, materializing a large boulder in thin air and with a cry, it fired it at the Lucario who had just regained it's balance.
"R-Rico move!" the trainer named Artie shouted in fear but the Lucario was too slow as it was hit by the boulder.
"Grou!" it cried in pain as it was brought onto it's knees.
"Is that all you have to offer?" the trainer raised it's eyebrows.
"Man," Kris said, catching White's attention. "Green isn't holding back,"
"G-Green?" White stammered as Kris nodded.
The long browned hair spoke. "Since when does he ever hold back," she sighed as White turned to her.
"Oh yeah, it's nice to meet you by the way, I'm Blue and this here is Yellow," she referred to the blonde next to her.
White smiled, thinking she was going to get an introduction from Yellow as well but stopped short as she saw her giving White a small smile and nothing more before redirecting her attention to the battle field/
That was then White noticed.
The look on her face. It was sad, as if she was reminiscing about something, her eyes may seemed like she was focusing on the battle, but her wandering emotionless face, it was easy for White to tell that her mind was elsewhere. That was when she realized it.
No wonder she could recognize that look.
It's the same look I had when Black disappeared.
"Look! The battle's just getting better!" Gold shouted, snapping White back to reality.
"A-Amp it Rico! S-Swords D-Dance!"
Rico breathed in exahaustion as it briefly got into a meditative position. Orange coloured swords formed around Rico as it's attack power got a boost. Rico growled as it embittered it's aura wavelength, but it's opponent, the Rhyperior, and the Rhyperior's trainer seem unfazed by this.
"Metal Claw!"
The metal spikes on Rico's paws extended themselves into a claw shaped blade as the Lucario charged forward, baring it's claws. The trainer, Green, didn't say anything.
White watched as sparks flew off as Rico's claws clashed with Rhyperior's body. The ground type didn't even bother dodging or reacting, just standing there and took the attacks head on without flinching, enraging the Lucario further.
"Toss it away," Green stated calmly. With a big swing of it's arms, Lucario was suddenly flung across the field as White gasped. The strength of the Rhyperior was something not to be messed with.
"Finish this Rhyperior, Megahorn,"
Rhyperior let out a massive roar as it's horn glowed green. It lowered it's head and started charging towards the Lucario who was slowly getting up, still feeling the impact of the arm attack it received.
"N-No! Rico! Dodge!"
Rico slowly opened it's eyes, as it finally stood up from the ground, only to be hit by the sharp horn of the Rhyperior right in the chest. The impact was so strong that Rico was sent flying to the wall.
"Rico!"
The dust cleared to see Rico lying in the newly formed crater in the wall, not moving. The trainer turned around and ran to Rico at White was still in shock after witnessing the battle.
She saw the Rhyperior walking back to it's trainer as Green stroked it's face.
"H-He's so strong..." White muttered.
"Well, Green comepletely destroyed the new guy as always," Gold said as he put his hands behind his head.
"Ooh! My turn!" Sapphire enthusiastically shouted as she was ready to go down.
That was when White noticed that Green turned his face towards her.
"You," he spoke out loud, pointing at her. "Get down here,"
"H-Huh?" White was taken aback, as she pointed to herself, making sure that she wasn't confusing herself with anyone else. "M-Me?"
"Green!" Blue shouted. "Don't be so hard on her!"
"You said we would meet a new Dexholder right?" Green shot back, "I'd like to see what she's capable of," he explained, "Of course, if she doesn't mind,"
White gulped. She already knew how strong of a trainer Green was after witnessing the battle, in addition, she knew that she was never a strong battler as well. But...
Get yourself together White. She told herself. You're a Pokemon Dexholder, act like one.
"Green stop this-"
"I'll do it!" She called out immediately.
"What!" Kris interrupted her, "No White, you really don't have to do this, he's always like this,"
"Don't worry Kris," White assured, "A little battle wouldn't hurt anyone right?"
"It won't but a battle with him will definitely hurt your pokemon," Emerald called out as Ruby and Sapphire responded by stomping on his foot.
"Ow!"
Kris sighed. "As much as I'd hate to admit White, Emerald may have a small point, because as it stands..." She looked towards Green. "Right now, he's the strongest out of any of us,"
White gulped as she got onto the opposide side of the field. A nervous Artie (at least that's what she thought his name was) was scurrying to get his Lucario healed so fast that he failed to notice White. She made a mental note to find him later.
"Use any pokemon you want, it'll be a simple one on one battle, first pokemon knocked out loses," Green voiced.
"Got it," White replied as she stared at the Rhyperior. It seems like he wasn't going to switch out. Already having the pokeball in her hand, she tossed it.
"Amanda!"
Her grass serpent appeared on the fear and slithered into a coil, hissing at the Rhyperior. White took note of how unfazed the Rhyperior's face looked like.
Right now, he's the strongest out of any of us.
Kris' words replayed itself in her hand. She was well aware she couldn't beat him, but just because of that, she wasn't going to give up so easily. This was for her to prove herself as dexholder. But not only that, there was something about her words that made White questioned Green.
Right now...she repeated in her head. Does that mean...there's someone else stronger?
Rhyperior's roar snapped her back to reality.
"Are you ready? Or are you just going to stand there and keep us waiting? He's already bored," Green cocked his head.
A vein popped on White's forehead at his arrogance. She already imagined crushing him in this pokeball. One could only dream.
"I'm ready!" she replied loudly.
Green rested his hand on his hip. "You can have the first move,"
White punched her hand. "Leaf Tornado!"
With a cry, Amanda whipper her tail, summoning a green swirling tornado of leave towards the Rhyperior.
"Rock Wrecker,"
As usual, Rhyperior summoned rocks in mid air and fired it at the Leaf Tornado. White gasped as she saw the rocks tear apart the tornado with ease, firing past he tornado and going for Amanda.
"Dodge it!"
With swift movement, the Serperior managed to slither out of the rock's path easily. But even it was nervous at the rock's strength when it collided with the ground. Whit gulped.
"Go for it Amanda! Leaf Blade!"
The tip of Amanda's tail glowed a birght green, slowly extending into a sharper sword like shape. It slithered everywhere on the ground, doing it's bets to confuse the Rhyperior. It has not forgotten the battle it had with Rico. It could not take it's revenge to finish the, so it'll have to settle with the Rhyperior.
But that was the first mistake already.
Thinking it could take down a pokemon of a Pokedex Holder with the title of 'Trainer'.
Rhyperior roared as the Serperior coiled it's body, launghing itself a like a spring with it's tail right going to Rhyperior's body. But it was ineffective as White watched in fear when the Rhyperior easily grabbed the Leaf Blade attack, stopping Serperior's body.
"Toss it!" Green ordered.
The Rhyperior raised it's hand arm and starred swinging Amanda around like a big lasso. Everyone watching was slowly getting dizzy just by staring at the poor scene.
"And now Rock Wrecker one more time!"
Rhyperior let go of Amanda, the Serperior being sent flying into the air as it was hit by a huge boulders, creating a cloud of dust.
"Amanda!" White shouted as she saw her long body fall to the ground.
"Ser...perior..." it groaned weakly as it tried to got up, but ended up falling back down.
White couldn't believe her eyes. "J-Just one hit?" And by an ineffective type as well.
"Well, it seems you're more capable than you look," Green commented, "I thought it would go down in one hit but I guess your Serperior can put up more of a fight, is it your first pokemon?"
White shook her head. "It was given to me when it was still a Servine," she said as she remembered a certain green haired trainer. "...by a friend,"
"So you helped evolved it into a Serperior," Green stated.
White pumped her fists. "We've been through enough battles to know each other, I may not be her original trainer, but I still have my full trust in her," she spoke with determination.
Green smirked. "Heh, well I guess in a way, it's a bit similar to me and Rhyperior,"
"Huh?" White tilted her head.
"I did catch Rhyperior when it was still a Rhydon, and helped evolved it into a Rhyhorn, but I did trade it off at some point for awhile," he looked up to Silver, who was leaning against the railing. "and that's when we learned that Rhyhorn can evolve again via trading and holding an item, and while it may have served well against him..."
Rhyperior arched it's back, a small sphere starting to form on the tip of it's horn.
"It hasn't forgotten it's original trainer, it hasn't forgotten it's strength! Hyper Beam!"
White gasped at the sudden order the Hyper Beam attack was fired.
"Dodge it!" she shouted as Amanda quickly slithered away just at the last moment. White's eyes were fully focused on the hole that the Hyper Beam attack caused.
"You lost your partner, does that mean you lost your entire strength?" Green shouted.
White bit her lip. "Leaf Blade!" the first move that came into mind. Amanda followed her orders and the tip of her tail readied the attack.
"And just because of that, you gave up! You gave up on Black?" Green shouted White clenched her fists.
"Shut up!" she screamed angrily. It was the first time in awhile, this feeling that grew inside of her. It spread so easily through out her body. The urge to wipe that that emotion away on Green's face.
Kris and the other dexholders watched in concern.
"You think I never tried?"
Amanda thrusted her tail forward as Rhyperior moved it's leg out of the way, dodging it with ease despite it's immense body weight.
"That I could just easily move on from him being gone that easily?"
The Serperior whipped her tail sideways but Rhyperior had enough as he grabbed it with it's bare hands.
"Megahorn!"
Rhyperior pulled Amanda's tail towards it as it's horn grew. The Serperior cried in pain as it was struck by the super effective move.
"Amanda!" Her cries was enough to snap White out of her anger, but that didn't deny the residual anger she still felt inside.
"Do you still have the will to go through with this?" Green asked.
White stared at Green with a confused look.
"You think we went out of our way to contact you so that we could help bring back your friend, but it's more than that, something that could affect not just region but possibly everywhere else,"
A dread sense of feeling crept up her spine.
"Maybe the other's are okay with it, but I want to see what other Pokedex Holders have to offer, just because you were entrsusted with one, doesn't mean you can be accepted that easily,"
White's hand went to her pocket, where her Pokedex laid inside.
"I know..." White muttered, catching Green's attention. Her head shot up and she stared at Green dead in the eyes. "You think I don't! I know full well the dangers of it! Magical Leaf!"
"You're still questioning whether or not I have what it takes to go through this, if I don't..." she clenched her fists. "How the hell did I even have what it takes to go through living my daily life after losing one of the most important people to me!" she screamed at the top of her lungs.
The girl with blonde hair stared at the battlefield, or White, in particular, her emotionless eyes slowly perking up.
"If you're still questioning whether or not if I have the will to do this, then I'll just have to show you! Double Team!" White ordered. Numerous copies of the Serperior appeared all over the field, Green's eyes darted all over the field as they started to slither around Rhyperior.
"Magical Leaf!"
"Ser...PERIOR!" Leaves started to gather around every copy of Amanda as they all prepared to fire the super effective move. However, Green's eyes were focused on copy.
"Brick Break, the one on the far right," Rhyperior's arms glowed as it's eyes darted to the direction. It started running towards that direction, the fake copies disappearing into thin air as it's body passed by through them.
White gasped. He can tell where the real one is?. Rhyperior roared as it struck the real Amanda, the Serperior crying out in pain.
"You're going to try better than that if you want to 'show me'," Green smirked.
White couldn't feel irritated. Instead, she was still in awe at his skill.
"Brick Break again! Don't let it rest!"
"Outspeed it!" White shouted.
The spectators watched as Rhyperior charged towards Amana with glowing fists as the Serperior slithered away from the charging beast, doing it's best to avoid the attacks.
"She's actually holding herself down there quite well," Kris commented.
"But not for long," Gold said, Kris stared at Gold, seeing serious look plastered on his face. "She's almost digging her own grave,"
White smiled seeing Amanda being able to dodge all of the attacks. That's right, if strength won't do then we'll play with Speed.
"Double Team once more!"
Green narrowed his eyes on the field. "Rock Wrecker,"
The whole process repeated itself. Copies of Amanda appeared throughout the field as Rhyperior summoned numerous boulders and blasted it all over the field, easily taking out the copies.
We need to tire it out fast. White planned. "Go around! Leaf Tornado! Don't stop moving!"
Amanda started moving in circle, slithering around Rhyperior at a great speed while summoning a a barrage of leaves at her tail. As she went around, the leaves went around as well, summoning a tornado of leaves that surrounded Rhyperior.
Bits of the leaves flew towards Rhyperior, grazing him, but not enough to making him flinch. His body stood still like a mountain as Green watched silently from afar.
"Brick Break on the ground!" Green shouted, catching White off guard.
O-On the ground?!
Rhyperior did what it was ordered and slammed it's fists onto the ground, pieces of it floating in the air.
"Fire them!" he ordered as Rhyperior quickly spun around, the small pieces of ground went against the small leaves. The tactic was more that enough to cause Whtie to become even more awestruck.
When the Leaf Tornado died down, Green noticed Amanda already panting hard.
"Time to finish this," he muttered.
He shouted. "Rock Wrecker!"
Rhyperior gave one more roar, raising it's arms and materializing boulders out of thin air. With a swing of it's arms, the large rocks were fired at the Serperior.
"Slither around them!" White shouted. Unbeknownst to her, Green smirked. White was so focused on Amanda trying to dodge the rocks, she failed to notice the tired look on it's face. Green's eyes darted on the field, every direction where Amanda was going, until she finally arrived at a spot that was near Rhyperior.
"End this, Brick Break!"
With glowing arms, Rhyperior stared charging towards Amanda, roaring outloud as he readied his fist.
"Dodge it!" White shouted optimistically, but Amanda was too tired. The moment she turned her head up, was the exact moment Rhyperior drove his fists into it's body. The Unovan watched in horror as Amanda was sent flying into the wall.
"Amanda!" she screamed.
When the dust cleared, Amanda fell onto the ground and didn't get back up.
"The winner is set," Green spoke as Rhyperior walked back towards him.
White ignored him, running over to her Serperior immediately. Kris watched as she patted Amanda on the head before returning her back to her pokeball with a small smile.
"It's expected," Silver spoke.
"My, it's been a loud battle here hasn't it," a gentle feminine voice spoke as Kris turned around, seeing a girl with long dark bleu hair covered in a white hat walking into the battle room. Beside her, was none other than Arite.
Gold went over and put an arm around Artie.
"Man you really got destroyed huh?" he snickered as Artie sweatdropped.
"Well, I'm still learning..." he joked back.
"Platina, you guys are finished with getting the supplies?" Kris asked.
The girl nodded. "Dia and Pearl are sorting them in the kitchen, I only hope that Dia won't gobble all the food before we eat," she sighed as she walked over to the railing to see White standing there with a sad look on her face.
"Ahh, so she must be the last one then,"
Kris nodded. "This means we're all here,"
"Not all of us," the blonde girl spoke with a voice devoid of any emotion.
Blue put her hand on her shoulder. "We all miss him Yellow, I'm sure we'll find him soon,"
Yellow shot a look at Blue. "And yet we went out of our way to find her instead," she retorted as she walked away.
Blue sighed. "We need to find him fast, we're not complete without him,"
Kris nodded. "Yeah, I'm sure he feels the same way," she looked over to Green, who was stroking Rhyperior's cheek.
"Thank you for the battle," Green spoke as Rhyperior growled in happiness, but his face suddenly switched to a look of pain. The trainer raised an eyebrow as he looked down, seeing there a deep cut at Rhyperior's leg.
He knelt down. "It has to be from that Leaf Blade attack," he suspected, eventhough he saw Rhyperior moving his leg away just in time. But he did not try to think against it. Instead, he smiled as he looked over to White.
"Interesting," he said as he let out a small smile.
