Hello everyone, I'm back with another story idea, not sure how it's going to go considering the fact I have been losing interest in writing over time, but I'm going to try to update every now and then. This is a Fear the Walking Dead so I'm not sure how the story will go, so if you want to, let me know in the reviews if I should keep going. Not sure how long the chapters will be nor will I know how many chapters there will be. But my writing is constantly changing and improving so we shall see how things will go. In the beginning, we're going to be focusing on the main character that I have created. She'll be my OFC that will eventually run into Nick and Alicia before the soldiers boxed them in as a supposed safe haven. Will Nick change or will Chris become invested once more? Only time will tell.

My character

Name: Emily Johnson

Description: Short at maybe 5 ft, 5 ft 2 inches with pretty hazel-like blue eyes with brown and blonde highlights that waved down to her shoulders, slightly bulky but not too much.

Pairing: Emily x? Why don't you choose unless something ends up happening as I write it out?

The world was vast and so endless. Cities were bustling with activity but LA just spoke of life and it was something that happily caught Emily Johnson's attention and why she loved to travel across the globe. LA though however just had this art to her that had her constantly taking pictures or even recording them on camera. Emily walked down the beach and breathed in the salty breeze happily. She had recently started to socialize and get to know the people here in LA since she had considered maybe moving here and wanted to be able to have some friends nearby if she did and one of those people she met was Alicia Clark. An average-height but pretty brunette with an attitude that Emily instantly liked.

She was supposed to go to her place later that day after Alicia spent some time with her boyfriend while he painted at the football field. She wasn't sure how things would go meeting the family, but she was hoping it went well. Meeting others usually didn't go so well in Emily's stance and she worried her bottom lip as she looked out at the ocean in thought that it could have the potential to ruin her blossoming friendship with Alicia when she already had so few friends in the first place.

She sighed when her phone dinged signaling a text had appeared and she pulled her phone out of her phone. It was from Alicia.

Alicia: Hey Emily, can you come over? I need a friend right now.

Emily looked at her phone in worry.

Emily: Sure, it's the same address right?

Alicia: Yeah, same address.

Emily nodded to herself and got up from the rocky wall and pocketed her phone before making her way to her car, a four-door dark red sedan, and started her engine. Traffic had gotten bad a few days ago, and from the looks of things, it wasn't going to let up anytime soon.

The ride to Alicia's neighborhood took almost an hour to get there and by then, it had turned to dusk when Emily pulled up in front of a two-story urban house, she turned the car off and saw the front door open and a blonde woman taller than Alicia stepped out. She got out of her car and approached her hoping she was wearing a friendly smile on her face.

"Hi there, my name is Emily, uh Alicia asked me to come over, said she wanted a friend?" She asked her. The woman's blue eyes lit up in recognition. "Ah yes, Alicia did say you were coming by, my name is Madison Clarke, I'm her mother." She said as she raised a hand out for her to shake.

She shook her hand and smiled. "Is it alright that I showed up like this?" She asked her. Madison gave her a grim smile. "Oh yes, I'm certain it's alright, Alicia probably just wanted to make sure her friend was safe for the night, so if you want, you can stay the night instead of driving back home?" Madison asked her.

"Oh I couldn't impose, I would have rented a hotel while here. I've been traveling and exploring the world ever since I became emancipated from my family." She explained and Madison nodded thoughtfully. The woman in front of her smiled and led the way inside. "Please, come on in, and really, it's perfectly alright of you to stay with us overnight. Alicia rarely ever has any friends for her to bring home." She admitted to Emily.

Emily brightened up immediately and she liked Madison so far. The woman showed a bright aura that showed she was a mother first and foremost and she could see that Madison definitely cared in her own way. Alicia may have been strong, probably even tough at times when she first met her, but she recon that was how she was raised, to be a strong woman raised after her own mom. Emily liked that a lot, she wished her own family thought that way.

The home she was in was a nice typical urban home, the walls were painted either yellow or a light blue that set a friendly tone and the furniture matched the color. Finally, she approached the living room and Emily spotted Alicia by the couch watching what she presumed was her brother sick on the couch. Alicia looked up immediately at the sounds of footsteps and she smiled at her with relief and ran up to her to wrap her in a hug. "Oh thank goodness your alright Emily, I was worried I'd lose you too." She said tearfully. Emily looked on with surprise at being hugged and she spotted over Alicia's shoulder to see her brother looking up from the couch, watching them curiously, but sweating.

She looked back at Madison in confusion. "Lose me? What on earth are you talking about Alicia? You wouldn't lose me, you know I was planning on moving here soon enough." She said to her. Alicia shook her head no. "Things are changing way too fast, I'm surprised you haven't noticed," Alicia told her and handed her what looked to be her phone and showed a News report video that had happened last night.

Emily watched the video with worry as she watched the police shoot the now appeared dead man walking multiple, only finally stopping moving when they shot him in the head. She had read about this kind of thing in the bible. But she didn't think it would ever come true, wouldn't come true, but seeing the truth to this video, she looked up at Madison, fear in her eyes.

"Is this true?" She asked her worriedly. Madison nodded. "Travis, my boyfriend, and I were there last night, we had to take a different route to be able to get home. He currently went to go get his son and his mom and meet us back here, we were thinking of going to the desert, get away from all this before the shit hit the fan figuratively speaking." Madison explained the situation as she sat down on a wooden dining chair.

She looked at Alicia. "So bringing me here was for?" She asked her. The boy on the couch grunted a bit as he looked at her in curiosity. "She wanted you safe, she couldn't protect her boyfriend, but she could help you. You can stay with us you know." He told her with a shaky smile and Emily gave him a shaky smile back and looked at Madison with confirmation.

Madison nodded in agreement. "Of course, you can stay with us Emily, you're alone, it's better to be with more people. Safety in numbers." Madison told her softly. She gave her a thankful smile and hugged Alicia back. She leaned into her ear and whispered, "thank you." She said as a tear dropped a bit from her eyes at the thought of the world ending and stood back. "So what happens now, do we just for the others in the meantime?" She asked them.

Madison nodded. "Yes, that's what we do for now. It's been a few hours now, but I know he'll make it here." She said hopefully. Emily nodded and sat down in one of the chairs and looked up at the ceiling in thought.

She didn't think the world would ever end, but it is ending and now that meant no laws, no civilization, and no sense of direction, she took out a shaky breath as her shoulders shook. She hurriedly got up from her spot and Alicia came up to her in concern. "What's wrong, Emily?" She asked her. "I…I need a minute, I'm just gonna relax in my car for a bit to compose myself. I just need a few." She reassured Alicia rather shakily and took off.

INSIDE

Alicia watched as Emily took off outside worriedly and looked at her mom. "Should we go after her to make sure she's okay?" Nick piped up. "She needs a minute to process the fact the world is ending Alicia. Besides, she said she was going to be in her car, which is parked up front, I'm sure she'll be okay for a few minutes. You could always watch her from the window or something if your that concerned." He said rather sarcastically.

She gave her brother a glare. "Nice to see you still have your sense of humor in tack." She said and their mom stepped in between them. "Okay, that is enough. Nick, leave your sister alone. Alicia? I'm sure Emily will be okay, you just gotta give her some time, she'll come to us when she's ready, she's not used to people caring for her." Madison said and Alicia nodded and sat back. "Alright, I just wanted her to know she wasn't alone." She admitted quietly. Her mom wrapped an arm around her shoulders and hugged her sideways. "And I'm sure she does, we won't ever leave her alone, Alicia, she has us now." She told her and Alicia gave her mom a small smile in thanks.

Here we go everyone, it's just an idea that has been popping up in my head for a while now. Not sure if it's going to be continued but it could be. For now, we'll leave it as a one-shot, but if you all like this and want the story to keep going, follow the actual series so to speak to see how Emily fares in Fear the Walking Dead, just let me know in the reviews and we can go from there. I'm slowly building my stories back up, I'm currently using google docs to help out the moment, but it's something for me to work with.
