In the windy lush meadows, two little girls barely 5 in age began to giggle and play. Despite not looking exactly alike, they were obviously twins.

They ran through the green grasses chasing each other gleefully.

Moments later, the children layed near the trunk of a tree breathing heavy gasps tiredly from their earlier fun. They began to chatter but later on the older twin went out to race the other home.

Despite the weariness, both girls playfully raced and ran.

The older girl arrived first and watched as the younger followed behind. After that, the younger girl seeing her messy appearance went first to their shared room.

The other went to get water for the both of their tired bodies. This one ran eagerly to the kitchen but with that she didn't notice the person walking infront of her and bumped into them and fell.

The little girl's purple eyes gazed at the hard force she felt only to see an infuriated familiar face.

The person she bumped into sneered at her and spoke then called her out.

"How pathetic, a royal to present yourself disgracefully like this. How are you even my sister? Noelle."

Noelle, the little girl, shivered a bit as she gazed at the person.

In her eyes, she saw her elder teenage sister, Nebra, with similar purple eyes and curly silver hair in contrast to her straight one gazing at her spitefully.

"Nebra-neesama, I-.."

The little one struggled as she spoke but was interrupted.

"Save your words. I've no need to listen to any of them from a disgrace like you. Nozel-niisama should have expelled someone like you..if it weren't for you okaa-sama might have-..."

The teen spoke insultingly with all her heart and hatred. The young child felt shaken but she soon realized that her sister was raising her hand towards her...

She clenched her eyes in fearful anticipation but nothing came...

She opened them again to see an old woman with greyish brown hair and black clothed maid dress in between her and Nebra.

"Lady Nebra, I believe I should take Noelle to her room now. It's time for the children's afternoon rest."

The old woman said as she gazed at Noelle and her elder sister.

In annoyance the teen girl scoffed and left.

With that, the old woman gazed at the child worryingly.

"Nanny Ania..."

Noelle spoke out, feeling a big relief in her core but she still couldn't shake off what she felt.

The old woman who was her nanny patted her back and smile gently.

"Are you alright, Lady Noelle?"

The little girl stayed quiet but remembering her elder sister's words..

'-a royal to present herself disgracefully like this...'

The voices began to echo in the child's mind. She shivered a bit but nodded politely as what she knew was taught to be beffiting an act for her status..

Despite how she felt that is...

Hearing that she was fine, her nanny sighed in relief and left while coaxing her to go to her room and rest.

Once the old woman left, the bitterness swirled in the child once more. She gazed at the window beside her.

In the sight she looked at the lake outside the window somberly. Her teeth gritted hardly as her tiny hands clenched tightly.

Nebra's voice echoed again. Not only hers but the rest of them.

'The disgrace of Silva'

'How are you even my sister-'

'How can a royal be this pathetic? What a talentless child'

'Why can't you do something so simple. Can't control your own magic? How useless.'

She clenched her silver braided hair and ran outside.

She ran senselessly. Those words still echoed in her mind. It felt like a bitter storm that burned her in her core.

The next moment she looked at her surroundings she arrived at the lake.

Her lips quivered as she raised her hand. She took a deep breath and imagined the picture in her mind.

Her young mind tried to remember all she read about how to cast the spell.

She imagined a tiny spherical water ball.

She opened her eyes and waved her hands again.

The tiny bit of water from the lake began to rise. It floated and formed a misfigured clump.

The little girl tried to focus more despite her hands shaking and her head aching slightly from the over focus.

She imagined again a perfectly spherical ball of water.

She gazed at the clump of water wobbling as she moved it with her magic as she tried to form what was in her vision.

Yes, just a little more she thought.

But..

Instead, the water exploded in her face. Not even forming close to her vision and barely standing a few seconds. She gritted her teeth once more.

Despite her clenching fists, she tried again. She tried over and over again. Even going so far as to do it the whole afternoon.

The words of those people echoed again but she refused to give up. She planned to prove them wrong. She wanted to show that she was just as good as them.

That she wasn't a disgrace. That she could do it-

Even so, she failed.

The sun was sinking and she barely had progress. She tried to do so one more time. She did it with even more focus than the other times.

Her eyes lit up. Finally she was getting closer. Half of it was spherical. Just a bit more but-

"Noelle-nee?.."

A young voice called out to her. She ended up distracted by the voice. In the end as she lost her focus Noelle failed and the water exploded in her face again.

She was infuriated. Just a little more and maybe she could could have succeeded.

Noelle looked behind her to see the one who called her.

There amongst the trees around the lake was a girl exactly like her.

Silver hair fixed in braids even a dress that was designed so both of them would match.

"Nora.."

She growled menacingly at her younger twin sister.

The younger girl was suddenly frightened but slowly walked closer.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? I ALMOST GOT IT!!"

"IF ONLY YOU DIDN'T-!!"

Noelle added as she screamed loudly at her twin.

Nora gazed at her frightenedly as she clenched the daisies in her hand. Her purple eyes set wheeling tears as she reached out nervously.

"Nanny t-told me to call you. Y-you've been here the whole a-afternoon. I didn't know..-"

The younger twin said.

The other sister then just glared in reply but ignored her and faced the lake to try again.

Nora gazed as her sister created a ball of water repeatedly and failed each time. In worry, seeing the tiredness in those eyes she walked beside her sister.

"Noelle-nee, I think you should rest. It's getting dark. You won't get it right when you're pushing yourself too much for it."

She told her elder twin.

Noelle in fury blasted the water ball.

Why was it that no matter how hard she tried she failed?

The voices began to echo once more.

"Noelle-nee..."

Nora called meekly.

With that, The older twin gazed at the girl infront of her furiously.

"WHAT DO YOU KNOW!? WHY DON'T YOU TRY!?"

Noelle said in blind fury. Not really expecting her sister to do it but blinded by her anger threatened her loudly anyway. This made her younger sister tremble as her angry voice sent a shiver down her spine.

"But nee-san you k-know that I..?"

Nora replied.

...

"Weakling!"

Noelle shouted at her.

"N-no I-m n-not!!"

The younger silver haired girl replied loudly.

But, as her older twin sister continued to shout Nora did so despite herself in childish foolery.

Nora hated being called that. No matter what she wouldn't let her just call her that-

Her vision as she gazed at Noelle and the lake was shaky but even so..

Nora raised her hand and pictured the image in her mind...

She felt and built every single bit of mana she could but...

The water only trembled slightly and never moved again.

After even if it was just that, Nora felt the sudden tiredness in her body and the need to puke as her knees felt weak.

Her elder twin sister's eyes widened but seeing not much harm apparent sneered at the sight of such a pathetic display barely even moving the water.

"Just as I thought. What do you know? You're an even worse disgrace than I am. You barely have any magic to even cast a single spell. How dare you try to-"

Noelle screamed at her sister mockingly as the images of the people who mocked her daily flashed through her mind.

The elder twin looked at her sister's face once more only to see the trickle of blood on her sister's lips.

In fearful reflex she accidentally pushed the sight of the younger girl away.

Her eyes widened at the turn of events and her fury shut down quickly as it was replaced with worry for her younger twin.

Noelle tried to reach for her sister but she was too late..

The weakened twin's vision faded as she puked blood and her body fell to the deep waters of the big lake.

"NORA!!"

The older sister shouted while arms reaching out to the younger sister's body but nonetheless it fell to the depths.

...

In the bottom of the lake...

Nora's body felt painfully heavy. The water was pushing her tiny body down with its weight.

It was painful as the waters flooded her throat and flowed to her lungs.

She tried to gasp for air but as she did so even more water ran through her body.

It was suffocating.

...

Her lungs were then driven to the limit as she lost consciousness.

A pitch black night consumed her then...

Rika...

Nora's eyes opened at the sudden call. Her purple eyes quivered around as she looked at the eerie darkness.

That name...

It almost seemed familiar. Why did she respond to it?

That wasn't her name, right?

Suddenly, familiar images started to flash around the darkness.

Cars, places and people that made her feel heavy deja Vu started to prance around her.

Wait, what were cars?

Many memories flooded her mind bit by bit like broken puzzle pieces that were yet to form a whole.

It was like she knew them but it still couldn't click. It was like there was something important missing.

In a flash, the dancing images disappeared. They left in a bright flash causing her eyes to close shut in reflex.

When she opened her eyes, the full darkness was back but there was something different.

There in front of her, stood a girl. Her features were blurry yet somewhere in her core she felt familiar.

All of a sudden the odd figure began running towards her. Somehow by some bewitching force she ran towards it.

As they got closer both reached out their hands like some mutual understanding almost as if ...

they were the same person...

In the slight thought their hands finally met.

With that, a loud bang flashed through the darkness.

The figure faded but not before smiling subtly as she left...

Nora was alone now but her head suddenly felt the pain that ringed as dozens of forgotten memories flowed.

All the puzzle pieces then started to complete..

Rika...

Rika Holly.

That's right. That was her name. Who the heck was Nora?...

Silva? Somewhere that was familiar. That was her family supposedly yet something more flowed...

Memories again began to run through her mind...

Dozens and dozens more of them.

Right, anime...

A fantastical story...

Black clover...

As the memories flowed even more her head began to ring loudly.

"AHHH HHH!!"

She began to scream loudly from the unbearable pain. Suddenly, her eyes widened and she felt her body jolt.

When the pain resided, her eyes fell to her surroundings.

She was back at her room...

She was back at Silva Castle...

Somehow it felt less like a home to her..

Memories of her old home with a much warmer family flashed...

She...

She didn't want to be here...

Then a harder pain flowed through her mind as she suddenly felt surging heat burning her body...

She wasn't burning but the memory of that pain was so strong she could hardly forget...

That's right she died...

She burned to death in a house fire.

Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice Nanny Ania running to her in wild worry.

The old woman shook the child gently seeing that she was dazed.

Nora then looked back at those old dark forest green eyes that looked at her warmly but somehow..

Everything felt eerie...

In the commotion, a girl with silver braids ran inside the room.

It was Noelle Silva...

Nora's thoughts became even more heavy as she saw her twin...

Which was real? What was going on?

Noelle...

She was the one thing both realities shared...

Yet she wasn't supposed to exist.

She's supposed to be fictional.

She wasn't supposed to be standing here as her twin...

Rika Holly had no siblings...

Noelle Silva...was supposed to be a work of fiction...

No...

The realization hit. Her eyes frantically looked around the room.

Her memories..

No...

Nora Silva's memories flashed through her mind...

Then Rika memories flashed then after...

Yes...

She was the one who wasn't suppose to exist...

With that heavy realization, she felt her eyes fall to darkness once more.

"Nora!"

Nanny Ania called the name of the child seeing her faint again. Noelle on the other hand ran to Nora who layed on the bed.

When the older twin took a closer look, seeing the steady breathing chest she sighed in relief.

Yet Nora's gaze was somewhat odd Noelle thought to herself...

Nonetheless she shook it off and when she heard the doctor come in...

.. Left the room to allow him to tend to her sister.

With that, the silver haired child on the bed was left to be treated by the doctor under the old nanny's worried eyes.
