When the akumas showed up in Paris, France, people were afraid. Any one of their friends or family members could easily turn into a monstrous beast if they gave into their emotions. Too much sadness, anger, hatred, pleasure, any of these could be used against them. But as time went on and people understood more, that fear replaced itself with complacency. Everyone simply accepted the situation as, "another day in Paris."

Well, not everyone. Some, they took this situation serious while others were simply ignorant. One such person was Tomoe Tsurugi, mother of Kagami Tsurugi. She was well aware that the akumatizations were taking place and she knew that the trigger to turn were uncontrollable and powerful emotions. For her, she had little to worry about, her daughter was raised in the way of discipline and sword. She excelled in kendo, kumdo, swordsmanship, and was a champion fencer, much like herself. She absolutely had nothing to be concerned about since she was in control of her emotions as well as her own daughter.

But that day, the moment she heard her daughter's phone and the admittance of her participation in a game, her emotions got the better of her. She was furious that her daughter was even considering partaking in the frivolous pursuit of tomfoolery and friendship. She had always taught her daughter that connections were better than friends. Connections with those who work to build you up in the world were much better than the deceitful pleasures of a friend who could betray you. At least, with those you work with, if they turn, it was simply in the name of business. No emotional reasons could ever factor in.

The moment she became Ikari Gozen, the day she rampaged through Paris to keep her daughter forever locked away for her disobedience, to keep the control she has always had, to prevent her from going down any path she deemed unnecessary, something within her changed. She didn't remember her akumatization nor did she didn't remember what she had done, but her body and mind knew something was different. Something in that action of succumbing to the enemy, of being transformed, then waking up and being restored, it was… eye opening.

When Gabriel Agreste first approached her, she was skeptical. As much as he was a reliable business partner, there was always something she didn't trust about him. Perhaps it was due to Emilie's passing that he seemed more withdrawn, kept in closed quarters. But she let it pass since his business sense was still in top form. The day Gabriel approached her with a proposal for a new product, she could tell, through his breath and being, something snapped. He admitted to her, the truth of the Miraculous. He admitted to her, the reason for his madness as well as the damage he always left in his wake. He admitted to her, the ultimate goal if he were to obtain the Miraculous of Ladybug and Chat Noir. He tempted her, the gift of a new world where she can be everything and more, having not just her success and her family, but also the one thing she desired, it was enticing. Skeptical but intrigued, she agreed to the terms.

She was the first test subject.

This was the second time she would turn, this time much more aware it was going to happen. When she was restored, she remembered it. She was more in control of the memories that remained. She realized what felt so different, why her body and mind felt off. In that experience, she realized, her eyes really were open, not just figuratively, but literally. For the first time, she could see. The world was strange, things she only ever knew by touch and smell became a overwhelming beauty of foreign wonders. Though, under the influence of the Akuma, her anger remained and did not allow her to appreciate this gift. It was only after, when she was truly aware, that she knew what she was missing. To behold such a gift that many took for granted, to know and not just remember the feel of his face whom she loved and lost, to gaze upon the child they brought into the world and truly know who she is, this became her deepest desire.

Thus the "Alliance" was formed with Gabriel Agreste.

Their goals aligned for a single purpose.

To obtain the miraculous of Ladybug and Chat Noir.

And fulfill their deepest desires.

I found it so strange that Tomoe Tsurugi was in cahoots with Gabriel Agreste. It didn't make much sense. Why would she know about the Miraculous? Why would he even tell her? Then, a thought came to me. Back when she became the akumatized villain Ikari Gozen, I remembered how she was able to swing and move about as she pleased. It made me realize that she could actually see. Remember, her mother is truly blind, though I'm not sure if it's since birth or was a development in her youth or adulthood, she can't see at all. So, this idea was born!

The reason she is working together with The Mr. Gabriel Agreste is because she wants in on the powers of the Miraculous too. I think, she remembers what occurred when she became the villain, and again when she was a test subject in the earlier episode. That experience proved to her that the Miraculous can grant her the gift of sight. But that experience was only temporary. The solution? Get Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculous and wish for a world where she always had sight or never lost her it at all. Her pursuit for a true desire, to truly have it all. But more importantly, to truly SEE the world and her family, her daughter who live in it.

This is all I have. It's short. I'm sorry if this didn't make any sense. I hope you enjoyed, thanks for reading!
