Chapter 2: An Unlikely Encounter

*Mark's POV*

Mark had been driving for the past 6 hours, and his eyes were starting to feel heavy.

"Taker, you need to rest." William, his manager said with concern in his voice.

"I'm fine Paul." Mark preferred calling him my his stage name. "We're only 20 mins away from the hotel. I think I can manage."

Mark looked over at his GPS to see that there was now 19 minutes to their destination.

"You got this." He told himself.

Mark and Paul had been on the road for quite a while. They decided to drive to Nashville, TN instead flying to cut down on expenses. Also, Mark just really needed a break from the other wrestlers. They could be annoying at times.

He was starting to get tired, but was persistent to drive the whole way because Paul needed to be fully functional for his radio interview. Mark planned to just crash at the hotel until tomorrow's show.

Getting impatient Mark stepped on the gas, going well over the speed limit and he started merging in and out of lanes to get to the hotel faster.

Paul held on to the door handle.

"TAKER! Slow down. We want to get there in one piece." Paul yelled at him.

Mark ignored him and he continued to merge in and out of traffic, and then something strange happened. One minute he was fully awake and the next his vision went black. He heard Paul yell, but couldn't respond.

He felt his truck clip a car on the right side. Instinctively he turned the wheel in the outside direction and then jammed on the breaks.

Luckily oncoming traffic merged around them.

Mark came to himself, and suddenly his vision was clear again. He looked over to see a Nissan Altima had hit the rail. It was the car he clipped.

"Nice one, Calaway." He told himself, hitting his leg in frustration.

Paul look over at him. "I warned you not to push yourself. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, just a little dizzy."

"Not good. You need to get checked, Taker…." Paul started. "Pull over, so we're out of the way."

Mark eased toward the side of the road and parked near the car he had hit. Suddenly a sharp pain shot through his head, causing him to groan in pain.

Paul unbuckled his seat belt. "Stay here. I'm about to go check on the other driver."

Mark nodded and stayed in their rental truck, waiting for the pain in his head to subside.

Paul walked over to the car and tapped on the window. The driver let the window down. Paul peered in to see a young woman with brown skin and long curly hair.

"Oh my goodness. Are you okay?" He asked the young woman.

*Back to Bre's POV*

Bre sat in shock as she tried to register what was going on.

'Am I really face to face with THE Paul Bearer?' She thought to herself. She was shocked and completely lost at what to say.

"Are your hurt." Paul asked her again.

Bre gulped and tried to suppress her nervousness. "I'm okay. Thanks for asking Mr. Moody." She used his real last name.

Paul was now the one in shock. "How does she know me?" He thinks to himself and then looks down at her hoodie to see an Undertaker symbol.

"Since you know my name and judging my your hoodie, you're a WWE fan?" He asked in curiosity.

Bre was shocked at how nice he was being. His on screen character was nothing like this. "Oh, you have no idea…" she started.

*Mark's POV*

Mark rested his head on the stirring wheel until the pain in his head began to dull. "WTF is wrong with me?" He thought to himself.

He lifts his head and looks over to see Paul is still talking with the driver. He's caught off guard when he sees Paul laughing and smiling.

"Hmm…who the hell could he be talking to?" Mark mumbles. Now he was curious.

He's no longer dizzy so he opens the car door and gets out, heading towards Paul and the car.

"Paul…talking to someone you know?" Mark walk over and looked into the car to see a small woman.

He instantly thinks… "Damn, she's a cute little thing." He looks at her and then to Paul in confusion. He raises a brow at Paul, waiting for him to explain.

Well Taker, looks like you almost took out one of your fans." Paul said and mouthed 'Look at the hoodie.'

Mark gives him a puzzled look and then looks at the girl to see a hoodie with an Undertaker symbol on it.

"Almost killed by her favorite wrestler….real nice Calaway." Mark scolds himself. Mark walks up to the car and gets a better look at her. He looked down at her and felt a strange warm a feeling in his chest.

He looked her over, and his earlier thought was confirmed. She was hella attractive. He leans down to the window.

"I'm so sorry, darling. Are you okay?" He asks, deeply concerned.

*Bre's POV*

Meeting Paul Bearer was already a nerve wrecking experience, but now her nerves were in shambles.

Now in front of her, was her all time favorite wrestler THE UNDERTAKER! She had always found him mysterious and oddly attractive.

She gulped as he noticed his eyes scanning her over, and stopping at her hoodie. "Was he flattered by it or did he find it weird?" She thought to herself.

She noticed that he began to lean down towards her and then when she heard his voice, she almost melted on the spot.

"I'm so sorry, darling. Are you okay?" He asks, showing deep concern.

Her mouth was dry from all the anxiety, but she managed to answer.

"I'm okay…Mr…um….Undertaker…?" She was sure how to address him.

"Taker or Mark is just fine, sweetheart." He says with a warm voice.

First he called her darling and now sweetheart, she was surprised she hadn't melted by now. She hoped he didn't notice, but the sound of his voice made her thigh squeeze together.

"I'm a little shaken up, and a little in awe to see my favorite WWE performers…other then that, I think I'm okay." She assured him.

"We're so glad you're okay!" Paul exclaimed in joy.

"Agreed. So glad I didn't off one of my fans…especially one so cute." Mark says with a wink.

Paul shoots him a "WTF look." He was confused as to why Mark was flirting with this girl.

Bre's heart skipped a beat at his words. Me cute? The Undertaker….thinks…I'm cute?" Bre looks up at him in disbelief.

Suddenly police sirens could be heard. All three of them look to see 3 police cars headed their way.
