"No! You already had your last chance!" Adrainna slammed the phone down. "Let me guess," he roommate Sarah said as she walked in the door. "Rick again." "He doesn't seem to know the meaning of get lost." Adrianna sighed. "What does he expect me to do, forget that he spent the last year cheating on me....ARRRG!" She shouted as the phone rang again.
"I'll get it, why don't you go for a walk and take some quiet time." Sarah motioned to the door as she picked up the phone. Adrianna smiled as she walked out listening to Sarah calling her cheating ex every name in the book and then some.
An hour later she was finally feeling calm and relaxed as she walked along the powder-like sand beach near her apartment. Much better, now if only he would just leave me alone she thought. Suddenly Adrianna saw a glint of light near the edge of the water. What on earth...oh how beautiful! She picked up the tiny silver bird charm and examined it. It was covered with small sparkling stones that reflected the light with an almost hypnotic sparkle.
No sooner did Adrianna realize what was happening, he head began to spin as if she had drank too much wine. The last thing she remembered was the sand rushing up to meet her, then darkness.
