Dinner was finished, the dishes were clean and put away, and Marty was outside enjoying the sunset.

Watching the sunset on a clear day was very peaceful to her. It helped to clear her mind, and gave her time to reflect on things.

She often thought of her deceased husband, how her life might have turned out if he never died, and how her life eventually turned out.

And the truth was, she wouldn't have it any other way.

'Hey. What's up?' Clark asked when he sat down next to her.

'Nothing much. Just reflecting on the past, present, and the hopeful future.' Marty replied.

'I sometimes do that. And eventually, I realize that, my life would be very depressing if I never met you.'

'I think that as well. I probably would've gone from man to man without deciding on any of them.'

'Something tells me I would've done the same with women.' (chuckle).

Silence.

Holding her hand. 'I'm really glad you're in my life.' Clark sweetly said.

'I am too.' Marty replied.

Then they watched the sunset together.
